ASIA ROUNDTRIP days # 089-120. It’s been four weeks since we returned from sunny Indochina. The last part of our 4-months trip was Thailand: Bangkok, Sri Racha, Pattaya, Chiang Mai, and Chiang Rai. What a wonderful country with impressive culture and incredibly friendly people - always smiling. We def will visit Asia again. Next part of our trip: Thailand 🇹🇭 Koh Phangan & Koh Samui ASIA ROUNDTRIP days # 075-089/120 At the beginning of January, we traveled to Bangkok for 2 days #mahanakhonskywalk to visit our dear friends Marc, Toby, and Hedi at their newly acquired waterfront paradise “Phangan Beach Resort” at Koh Phangan 🏝️. A truly beautiful place, clean sand beach, good staff, and delicious food. After a fun birthday party, we left to the neighbor island, Koh Samui. We enjoyed our lovely hotel and island life with its stunning views and relaxation. During a safari tour it rained cats and dogs. Forth part of our trip: Cambodia 🇰🇭 Phnom Penh, Siem Reap & Angkor Wat. ASIA ROUNDTRIP days # 044-074/120Cambodia, what a magnificent country! Millennia-old culture meets modernity. At Christmas Day, we ate Greek food at Elia; it was delicious. At the Hayatt Siem Reap, we spent a wonderful day by the pool and got invited to the dinner show with traditional dances. On New Year’s Day, we got up at 4 a.m. and drove to Angkor Wat to admire the first sunrise of 2026. Afterwards, we explored the impressive temple complex. Third part of our trip: Vietnam 🇻🇳 Ho-Chi-Minh City (Saigon), Chu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta in south Vietnam. ASIA ROUNDTRIP days # 030-044/120At Saigon’s Sun Avenue, we enjoyed a spacious apartment with pool, gym, and a great panoramic view towards the city skyline. We took exciting excursions to the infamous Chu Chi Tunnels and a great tour to the impressive Mekong Delta, learning a lot about Vietnamese history and culture. One day, we took the ultra-fast elevator up the 81st floor (382 m) to experience the Landmark Skyview deck. It’s definitely worth seeing.Saigon is a vibrant city with great bars and nightlife. #Saigon #hochiminhcity🇻🇳 #chuchitunnel #mekongdelta @the_vonbergs by @sakisvonberg

Second part of our trip: Vietnam 🇻🇳 Da Nang in central Vietnam. ASIA ROUNDTRIP days # 022-030/120We enjoyed a roller coaster ride on the beach and a trip to Monkey Mountain and to the tallest Lady Buddha statue, standing 65 meters high. We had delicious sushi and exquisite fine dining at The Temptation Da Nang. Our beautiful suite at the Hotel Del Luna offered a freestanding bathtub, sauna jacuzzi, and rooftop pool. Wonderful days on MyKhe Beach and Esco Beach. Finally, we explored the Marble Mountains with caves and visited the charming old town of Hoi An with its beautiful lanterns on the river.
