The Youth Development Department is excited to announce two amazing opportunities for youth ages 9-12, beginning soon at the Kroc Center! Our Be Your Best Etiquette Program is back! This free program helps girls build confidence, character, leadership skills, social etiquette, positive communication habits, and lifelong skills that will help them succeed both in and out of the classroom. Starting Thursday, October 15 from 4:30 PM – 5:45 PM KROC Kings is a brand-new leadership and character development program designed specifically for boys. Participants will focus on respect, responsibility, confidence, discipline, leadership, and personal growth while learning what it means to set a higher standard and become a positive leader in their community. Starting Monday, October 19 from 4:30 PM – 5:45 PM Space is extremely limited! Registration is first come, first served. The Unidos en Nuestra Celebración Hispanic Heritage Month Event was a festive night to remember! Hispanic culture was shining bright with amazing dance performances by the Salvation Army Tabernacle Philadelphia Dance Team and Move On Arts Studio, and soul-stirring musical performances by Raices Boricuas (Johnny & Aida Cruz), Alex Moreno (@alexmorenosinger) and the Salvation Army's very own Major Israel V. Acosta! We unveiled the breathtaking mural by Ministry of Awe (@moaphilly) artist, LEMUS (@lemusmonart , a testament to the power of creativity and community. A huge thank you to our amazing MC Tiffany Tavarez for guiding us through the evening and keeping everyone entertained. The delicious food by @vickies_sweets was the perfect fuel for our celebration!
