Cześć, Jak już pewnie wiesz z okazji 6 urodzin Salaka 🎂 rozpoczynamy nową tradycję. Od teraz świętujemy całą jesień, wyjątkowymi projektami i współpracami. 🍂 Zaczynamy od limitowanej reinterpretacji naszego bestsellera AN SU, zaprojektowanej przez @kristinabuskodesign . Dodatkowo każdy egzemplarz ma własny numer seryjny (umieszczony na spodzie kuli dzięki czemu masz pewność i informacje, który egzemplarz z tej bardzo ograniczonej ilości trafia właśnie do Ciebie). Już niedługo sama Kristina opowie więcej o idei projektu. Dziś mały powrót do wiosennych targów designu w Mediolanie. Co to był za wyjątkowy czas! Jeszcze raz ogromne podziękowania dla @alcova.milano gdzie w niesamowicie historycznej willi mieliśmy przyjemność stworzyć wystawę i zaprezentować naszą markę. To było naprawdę wyjątkowe miejsce dla naszej kolekcji. Dziś jednak chcę pokazać Wam coś szczególnego. ,,Coś”, bez czego pozornie mogłoby się wydawać, że pewnie też byśmy sobie poradzili, a jednak bez tego ,,czegoś” nasza wystawa zdecydowanie nie byłaby tym samym 🥹 To była taka wisienka na torcie tego, co prezentowaliśmy. Mowa oczywiście o oprawie graficznej, którą stworzyła @olagroblewska z naszego zespołu. Jak mogłabym opisać ten projekt? Zabójczo minimalistyczny, bardzo w duchu SALAK, ale z lekkim twistem. Zdradzę Wam też mały sekret o nas 🤫 Ola potrafi stworzyć najbardziej szalone grafiki, jakie znam, a w życiu jest jedną z najbardziej uporządkowanych i ostrożnych osób. Ja z kolei w życiu jestem zakręcona jakich mało, a w tworzeniu grafik zawsze byłam raczej bardzo oczywista i spokojna. Wydaje się, że w wielu rzeczach jesteśmy do siebie niesamowicie podobne a jednocześnie zupełnie różne. I chyba właśnie to sprawia coś wyjątkowego…Taką małą mieszankę wybuchową, bez której SALAK nie byłby tym samym SALAKIEM 🩶 Dzięki, Ola, za tak dobre wyczucie języka SALAKA i za dodanie do niego swojego charakteru. Once again, a huge thank you to @alcova.milano for giving us the opportunity to create our exhibition and present SALAK in such an incredible villa. It was truly a dream setting for our collection. Today, though, I want to talk about something that may seem like a small detail something we could have probably managed without… and yet, without it, the exhibition simply wouldn’t have been the same. The cherry on top of everything we presented: the graphic identity created by Ola from our team. How would I describe it? Let’s start celebrating Salak’s 6th birthday 🎂🍾! Dear friends, Last year, we decided to begin a new tradition Salak Birthday. We wanted this celebration to unfold throughout the entire autumn, not just one day. After all, there is so much to celebrate. One of its most meaningful parts will be an annual collaboration with someone close and special to us. The result will be an object or piece of furniture, created in a strictly limited edition and available in very small numbers. And today, we’d like to reveal the first little secret. Meet @kristinabuskodesign ,who is working from her home in Spain on something truly exceptional created especially for you. Kristina is an expressive designer and a master of bringing together the unexpected. She has a rare ability to make seemingly opposing materials, textures and colours from entirely different worlds come together as one harmonious whole. We can’t wait to see your response to her interpretation of the Salak world. This symbolic project carries many thoughts and ideas that we’ll share with Kristina in a few weeks during our Instagram Live. Hugs, A. & K. •pl• Zaczynamy 6 urodziny SALAKA 🎂 Drodzy przyjaciele, w ubiegłym roku postanowiliśmy rozpocząć nową tradycję Salakowych urodzin. Chcieliśmy, aby to wydarzenie trwało co roku przez całą jesień, a nie tylko jeden dzień. Bo przecież jest co świętować. Jedną z ważniejszych części tego czasu będzie coroczna współpraca z kimś dla nas bliskim i wyjątkowym. Owocem tej współpracy będzie obiekt/mebel powstały w ściśle limitowanej, bardzo niewielkiej liczbie egzemplarzy. I właśnie dziś chcemy uchylić rąbka tajemnicy. Lately, we’ve been rolling more than just balls for you. Quietly, behind the scenes, we’ve been working on some exciting new things at SALAK. 👀 Over the coming months, our website which is also getting a completely new look will introduce several new categories, including :OBJECTS, VINYL and LIMITED…🤫 The last one is particularly important to me. After six years, SALAK is coming full circle. In the LIMITED category, you’ll find SALAK pieces created only as single, unique editions. Sometimes we go quiet… but usually it means one thing: brainstorming and big changes behind the scenes 🤫 Curious what we’re gathering around our round table for this time? I have what might be my biggest reason for excitement this year. Someone might say: “It’s just a detail.” To me? A very big reason to smile 🩵 Because TWO exciting things are happening at once! Our website is getting a completely new look Ola is putting the finishing touches to it. I’m gathering ideas and creating the concept for our new communication. And Ewelina is bringing colours from the other side of the world: steel paints you won’t find in the RAL colour chart. Thousands of beautiful shades we’ve never seen before 🤯💥 And now the hardest part: how do we choose just a few? Oh, the second half of this year is going to be wonderful. Czy to w ogóle kogoś interesuje? Jakiś czas się nad tym zastanawiałam. Ale prawda jest taka, że wiadomości od Was dodają mi skrzydeł i rozpalają we mnie pasję do tworzenia Salaków jeszcze bardziej 💥🩶 Co Wy na to, żebym co jakiś czas dzieliła się tutaj wiadomościami i opiniami tych z Was, którzy właśnie dostali swojego SALAKA? Tym, którzy piszą do mnie SMS-y albo zostawiają ślad w Google czy na naszej stronie? Po 6 latach z dumą mogę powiedzieć, że pamiętam Was wszystkich. Wasze historie, moment, kiedy tworzyliśmy dla Was SALAKA, a czasami nawet konkretne kule z Waszych zamówień 🥹🫶 Wiem, że brzmi to niewiarygodnie przy takiej ilości zamówień, ale naprawdę tak jest. (Zobaczymy, czy za kilka lat nadal będę mogła powiedzieć to samo 😅) *Fun fact: nauka zawsze przychodziła mi ciężko i miałam problem z zapamiętywaniem wielu rzeczy…Może dlatego moja głowa ma tyle miejsca na zapamiętywanie tych innych spraw? For 6 years, everything at SALAK has revolved around balls 🟤🤎 But what might you still not know about them? 1. The final fitting is done for your exact piece. A ball may be prepared and drying for months before your order. But the final fitting happens only at the very end. Once your SALAK is welded, assembled, and the tabletop and leg are ready, the specific ball is hand-cut to fit your piece down to the millimetre. 2. Making a ball takes much longer than 35 working days. The wood first dries, then is glued, turned and placed on a shelf to dry further. Some balls wait for their right moment for several months. 3. No two balls are identical. We only see the final grain pattern after turning the ball when it is literally “cut” from a cube of wood. That’s the beauty of nature: every piece of wood has a unique pattern, making every ball different. Ostateczne dopasowanie odbywa się do konkretnego egzemplarza mebla. Kula może być przygotowana i leżakować nawet kilka miesięcy przed Twoim zamówieniem. Jednak jej ostatni szlif odbywa się dopiero na końcu. Kiedy Twój Salak jest już pospawany, skręcony, a blat i noga są gotowe, konkretną kulę ręcznie dopasowujemy do wybranego przez Ciebie mebla co do milimetra. 2. Tworzenie kuli trwa znacznie dłużej niż 35 dni roboczych. Drewno najpierw schnie, potem jest klejone, toczone i trafia na półkę do dalszego wysychania. Niektóre kule czekają na swój odpowiedni moment nawet kilka miesięcy. 3. Nie ma dwóch identycznych kul. Wzór drewna widzimy dopiero po wytoczeniu kuli kiedy zostaje dosłownie „wycięta” z sześcianu drewna. To właśnie natura tworzy tę unikatowość. Każdy kawałek drewna ma inny wzór, dlatego każda kula jest inna. Jestem ciekawa na co Ty zwracasz uwagę widząc salakowe kule 🤔… Dziś uściski prosto z pracowni. Dear Friends, meet SAM our new console 🩶 Who is it made for? For those who love minimalism, timeless design, and forms that effortlessly adapt to different interiors. For those who appreciate beautiful proportions and enjoy playing with composition creating spaces that feel balanced, intentional, and full of character. SAM is also a story of details. Of thoughtful craftsmanship, refined finishes, and subtle elements that we will tell you more about very soon 🤫… Today, we want to share a short story about something new that is, in fact, something old. Sounds intriguing? Meet our new SAM console, which some of you may already recognize from our exhibition in Milan. Its story began several years ago, during the launch of our UCZTA dining table collection. At that time, as an extension of the collection, we created the BEN dining table initially as a single piece for the shared space in our studio. BEN was created using different leftover materials from other models, including PECAN LONG. We knew we needed something simple, universal, and timeless. From there, the idea evolved quickly. We realized that cube-based forms could become an incredibly versatile foundation not only for tables, but also for consoles. There were many ideas and, unfortunately, very little time… so it took more than two years for this concept to finally come to life.
