Yesterday, we celebrated the 5th Annual Youth Appreciation Event on the Eastside of St. Paul.

Families came together for a day of community, connection, and celebration as we honored our young people and helped them prepare for the upcoming school year. Kids received free haircuts, backpacks, school supplies, hot meals, and more, while community organizations came together to provide valuable resources and support to families.

We’re proud to continue investing in our youth, supporting our families, and creating spaces where every child feels seen, valued, and appreciated.

Here’s to a great school year ahead! taken in The Salvation Army St. Paul Eastside Worship and Service Center by @salarmynorth

This past month, The Salvation Army Northern Division was pleased to observe Hispanic Heritage Month through a variety of events. We spoke with several officers across the division to ask them what Hispanic Heritage Month means to them.
The Hispanic community makes a tremendous impact in our cities and towns and plays an important role in helping us share the love of Jesus and reach people from all walks of life. Through our diverse cultures and shared faith, we continue to bring people together, strengthen our communities, and celebrate the unity that makes us stronger. taken in Salvation Army by @salarmynorth

Yesterday, St. Paul mayor Kaohly Her and other community leaders joined Salvation Army officers, staff and volunteers for the dedication of Hope Market - a new food pantry at the West 7th Salvation Army in St. Paul.
Hope Market will serve hundreds of local families, providing a more welcoming and inviting way to help meet the needs of the community. It’s a place where individuals and families can pick out the food they need, creating a shopping experience that promotes choice, dignity, and hope.

Programs like Hope Market make a meaningful difference in the community. If you’d like to support this important work, consider making a donation at SalvationArmyNorth.org. taken in The Salvation Army - Saint Paul Citadel Worship & Service Center by @salarmynorth

Last week, our community came together in Minneapolis to stand united against human trafficking.
Hosted by our local Anti-Human Trafficking Ministry Committee and leadership from the Northeast Minneapolis Salvation Army, this gathering brought together law enforcement, firefighters, nonprofit organizations, faith communities, and other local partners for a time of prayer, awareness, and connection.
Together, we prayed for victims and survivors of human trafficking, for those working to combat exploitation, and for wisdom, strength, and protection for those serving our community.
Human trafficking is happening in our communities, and it takes all of us working together to raise awareness, support survivors, and stand against exploitation.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and to those who continue to be part of this important work. Together, we can stand for freedom, dignity, and hope. taken in The Salvation Army Minneapolis Central Worship and Service Center by @salarmynorth

Today, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and other community leaders gathered to celebrate the completion of major renovations at Salvation Army Booth Manor – a 157-unit senior living facility in downtown Minneapolis.

The renovations – which included new carpet, paint, fire and security systems, outdoor garden, and much more – were funded by two “Live Well at Home” grants from the Minnesota Department of Human Services and your donations to The Salvation Army.

We are grateful for this investment in our residents and our community. Thank you, Minnesota DHS and Salvation Army donors, for helping Booth Manor remain a safe and welcoming place for low-income seniors. taken in Booth Manor Senior Living by @salarmynorth

Fall is here and cooler days are on the way.
As the seasons change, a warm coat, cozy sweater, or pair of gloves can make a meaningful difference for a neighbor in need.
This fall, let’s look out for one another and help our community prepare for the colder months ahead. If you have any new or gently-used warm clothing to spare, please donate them at your local Salvation Army.
Together we can bring warmth to our neighbors, one act of kindness at a time. by @salarmynorth
