One year ago, I said yes to my first commission. I said yes to something I’ve never done before (paint a portrait + that big) and I didn’t know if I could achieve it. But I decided to trust my gut and let it guide me. That’s how I booked a ticket for Cuba on a random afternoon last august. And then another one to Madagascar. Finally I was back to places I once was. Places where I left a part of myself a few years ago. Same places, different time, different people. Family and opportunities I never expected were what awaited me. I’ve always believed in the power of intuition and suddenly I knew it was time to come back. This year was a year of constant movement and reconnection. A year living by the sea. If you are looking at her carefully, that’s pretty funny how life sounds like her. Intense, inconstant but plentiful of lessons and invitations for those who listen. Life this year was an invitation to feel free and full. To be without shame or apologies. To try without fear. To paint without overthinking. To be present, cherish the randomness and keep moving toward what excites me the most. Finally, one year and a commission later, here I am, back in Corsica. Proud of myself listening to my intuition a year ago, uncertain but still saying yes. Yes to new invitations, you never know where it might take you !
