I first covered the TBCO Conference back in 2017 when it was held in a warehouse. Seeing how much it has evolved over the years, and now getting to attend it in person since moving to Tennessee, has been a real pleasure.

@andy_rushing, @luke.hilliard and @dominicingegneri , thank you for always treating @lcganvanhook and me with such kindness as we do our best to capture the incredible amount of work you and the entire TBCO team put into this experience. taken in Metro Nashville Municipal Auditorium by @salinasboyq

Tennessee might be rubbing off on me. No better place to learn the many soundtracks of the South than in Kentucky with my road dawg Logan. Railbird, the Limestone Stage, and more country music than I’ve seen live in my entire life. 🐎 taken in Red Mile by @salinasboyq

“If you call yourself a competitor, but you don’t compete to be a better husband, father, or man, you’re not a competitor, you’re just addicted to the image of effort.”

That quote was in my head the entire race last Saturday. This run was my way of continuing to compete against the previous version of myself.

I finished the Natchez Trace Trail 50 Miler in 11.5 hours, placing 13th out of 42 runners. Seeing the excitement on my wife and kids’ faces at the end validated every minute of the volunteered suffering. That moment made the entire journey worth it. Onward to 2026.

Thank you @hardwinadventures for the amazing event and @schreinertrailphotography for the photos. taken in Natchez Trace Parkway Garrison Creek Trailhead by @salinasboyq
