The afternoon light of a sunny November day, the water rippling around its occupant, a gloriously majestic swan.
Camera Fujixs10
Edited in Snapseed A series of photos showing the warm November afternoon sun rippling around the water and on a white swan, preening itself and sipping from the river. The light reflects the autumn leaves in yellows and reds on the surface of the water. by @salita

The New Forest in England is somewhere I truly feel at home. Despite the recent series of heatwaves, the trees provide shade and cover to keep the area lush and green. Standing in this, listening to a few birds around made me realise not enough people go to a forest and just stop. They run, walk, or cycle through it, as if its just a backdrop. But it IS the destination. Being IN it is the thing that restores your mental health. If you can this weekend, find a forest bear you and just hang out there for a while. by @salita

There’s an interesting relationship between seeing horses in the heat-ravaged sprawling scrub and heath of the New Forest and the industrial estate in the distance. Cause and effect maybe? by @salita
