A little house update… 🏡

It’s been a while since I’ve shared our renovation plans, and I know many of you started following along because of this project!

We’ve been through quite a few designs along the way. We live in an area known for its beautiful traditional homes, but we’ve always been drawn to something a little more contemporary.

Alex (my husband), is the very talented architect behind the design, and after exploring several directions, we’re finally getting closer to something that feels like us.

Isn’t that what good design is about? Whether it’s what we wear or the spaces we live in, I believe style should reflect who we are—not simply what’s expected.

I’ve been thinking a lot about friendship lately—not just about the kind of friends I want in my life, but the kind of friend I want to be.

Am I checking in? Am I including people? Am I showing up? Am I making someone feel like there’s a seat for them at my table?

At 48, I’m still learning. But one thing I know for sure: kindness, inclusion and making people feel seen will never go out of style.

Sallure may have started with style, but I’ve always wanted it to be about more than what we wear.

How we live. How we grow. How we treat people. And how we make them feel.

Because personal style is part of who we are—but it isn’t all of who we are.

Can I still wear this?

My answer usually has less to do with age and more to do with how you want to wear it.

Love the idea but not the amount of skin? Change the proportion. Add a layer. Adjust the length. Keep what you love and make the rest your own.

Today, One year married!

Some of the best decisions are the ones that simply feel right.

Choosing to elope in Capri was one of ours.

A year ago this weekend, we did something that felt completely right for us.

We packed our bags, flew to Capri and said “I do.”

We planned every little detail ourselves, and somehow it all came together even better than we imagined.

Looking back, I’d make the exact same decision all over again.

They say time flies, and somehow my little boy is officially a teenager. 💙 You only turn 13 once, so we celebrated the only way he wanted—with amazing food, some of our favorite people, and memories he will cherish forever. Happy 13th birthday Barrett (my mini me 🤔). Watching you grow into such an incredible young man is the greatest gift.
