What a week. What an experience with @NinjaTrader!

From speaking on stage to being surrounded by so many like-minded individuals who share the same passion for trading, this was truly an experience to remember.

Grateful for the opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, share my journey, and learn from some incredible people in this industry.

It’s moments like these that remind me why I fell in love with trading in the first place.

A huge thank you to @anthonyccrudele and the entire @NinjaTrader team for putting together such an incredible event and allowing me to be a part of it.

Until next time! 🥂 by @salma_ogs

Same market. Same move. VERY different dollar amounts.

A 10-point move on ES is worth $500, while that exact same move on MES is only worth $50.

Why? Because MES is 1/10th the size of ES.

And remember, that works both ways. Just as quickly as you can make that money, you can lose it.

Before you trade futures, make sure you know how much each point is actually worth.

Examples assume one contract, before fees.

Full beginner futures lesson is on my YouTube. Link in bio!

Trading micros doesn’t automatically mean you’re risking less.

10 MES contracts carry the same dollar value per point as 1 ES contract.

A 10-point move against either position? That’s $500 before fees.

The contract might be smaller, but that doesn’t mean your overall position is.

Know what you’re trading before you enter.

Earlier today on stream, I caught shorts from the top and closed out right at quarterly open

I then go through my reasoning for the exit and as to why I flipped long

I got stopped out of longs prematurely for having a BE stop instead of giving the trade a bit of room to breathe (super unfortunate but it happens)

That shooter candle on the 15 min marked the low of day and then news sent us ripping to new highs (which I obviously wasn’t expecting)

But if you look closely enough, there’s always hints based off of how we’re structured on different time frames

I hope the breakdowns and live explanations help people understand what I’m eyeing and why #trading #trader #stockmarket #fyp by @salma_ogs
