Maybe it’s a promotion. A new chapter. The end of a relationship. Or simply waking up one morning ready to see something different in the mirror.

For Christine Chou and Sophia Wong of Salon Hanover in Walnut Creek, that’s where their work begins: listening.

The longtime business partners met as apprentices at a legendary San Francisco salon, where they learned to approach hair with precision and artistry. Christine specializes in cutting. Sophia specializes in color. Together, they’ve spent two decades helping clients find the shape, shade, and style that fits not only their features, but their lives.

Trends have come and gone—baby lights, lived-in color, wolf cuts—but Christine and Sophia are more interested in what works for the person sitting in their chair.

A client brings them a feeling, an idea, or perhaps a new version of herself she’s ready to meet. Christine and Sophia translate it into something she can see.

Twenty years. Countless transformations. And plenty of stories shared along the way.

Today’s class model 🖤
Her goal was a little more length + fullness, so we added Hotheads newest Ultimate Tape Row—one in the nape, one full side-to-side row + two front side panels.

And if I wasn’t yapping the whole time teaching, this would’ve been done in under 30 minutes 😂

there’s really no better feeling than when another stylist trusts you with her hair.

for this babe, we added one row of extensions to bring in a little more length + fullness while keeping the overall look super natural and seamless.

the process starts with making sure the row is placed exactly where it needs to be for the best blend, comfort, and movement. once everything is installed, we customize the cut and blend so the extensions melt right into her natural hair.

one row was all she needed for the perfect little refresh .
