❤️ What is SALON? 🔥

A party by @hebenon_dj, whether backyard or club, for love of creativity in all its forms. “What do you do?” Scratch that. “What do you love doing?” Salon is a place to show or ask it. Come solo or with your friends. Dance up the front or chat out the back. We’re all there for one reason. To better know and feel what we’re all bringing to our one shared fire.

Consider grooving with us at the SALON8 summer day party on Saturday November 14th in the @theladyhampshire garden, from 3PM. All free. More to come on that soon.

In the meantime, flip through this scrapbook from previous Salons at @club77sydney, @burdekinhotel, @homesydney, and the Khoudair family home.

Love—from the ground up.
Love hearts—knitted by my aunty,

From the vault: SALON1

The evolution of this event began in 2023 with a family home for creative minds to meet, eat, and exchange deets.

Dress code: be comfortable.
Advised: arrive on your own.
What to bring: an appetite.

Emotional as I write this at the flow of these faces, into and out of my heart. Many there, many not, or not yet. So the dream of more, to see you all around the fire.

The fire is inside.

The spirit of SALON is to frame spaces for connection across creative fields. Attend them solo. Or invite those friends of yours who haven’t met yet and need to.

Sometimes the events will be backyard markets, where items are exchanged for stories; sometimes gallery exhibits of artists responding to one another live. Eventually, SALON will be a permanent venue (with 24/7 delicatessen attached, and real earth for dancing barefoot).

For now, the sixth installation of SALON is a two-room party by the best new DJs in Sydney and it’s going down from 9PM on Saturday, March 28th at @homesydney. Expect sounds that will take you far and wide.

Tickets for the @homemadesaturdays debut of SALON will be out later this week!
