Community Program Views Unmonitoring the Situation30.04.2026 Some stills by @lu.favret of Unmonitoring the Situation, one of the first events of the Salon Community Program. The Salon Community Program is a series of special days of the week dedicated to the people that make Berlin the place it still is: you. We open the Salon for project presentations - a zine, a performance, a talk, to test a workshop or to show a work in progress. We activate the legacy of the Salon as an informal space for gathering and conspiring. In times of shrinking space, our window on Moritzplatz is there to make it a space of expression and encounter. Unmonitoring the Situation is an event by @re.incantamento(@yung.long , @simonerobutti , @osiom kinked, @fasolato_anna) @silviar49 and @anikakrb.art. Gratitude to you all for holding the space. by @salonammoritzplatz

Two months have passed. What remains? On May 22, we opened our exhibition „Was bleibt?“. For three days, @yanina.panina and @laureen_thews brought the powerful photojournalistic work of the late photographer Sabine Sauer back into the light. The exhibition explored what remains after we die while celebrating Sabine’s extraordinary body of work. It was a beautiful weekend filled with sunshine, music, inspiring conversations, and tears—of joy, gratitude, and grief. Now, two months later, we ask the question once again: What remains?Beautiful memories. Photographs (thank you, @ellytscherki_ ). Stories, messages, and notes left by our visitors. And a documentary that captures the touching story of Sabine Sauer and her family. We are deeply grateful to everyone who came and shared this experience with us. This project was truly heart work (pun intended), and we cherished every moment of bringing it to life. We hope it touched you as much as it touched us.Stay tuned for the official release of the film. And if you’d like a piece of Sabine’s work to remain with you, get in touch with @yanina.panina or @laureen_thews about her available prints. 🧡🧡 by @salonammoritzplatz

It’s happening ✨🩵18–19 July 2026, come and say hi if you’re in Berlin! 😍📍@salonammoritzplatzMy first exhibition. This exhibition is about moments and untold stories. Some paintings are inspired by my grandmother’s style in her youth and by old Vietnamese stamps and photos from early 20th century Vietnam. These small fragments of the past made me wonder about the women behind them, their lives, and the stories I never got to hear. Not having had the chance to truly know my grandmother feels like getting to know someone you have always loved. Through painting, I create my own connection to these untold stories and give them a new life on larger canvases. The other paintings explore moments of stillness: women finding peace, quiet connections with nature, and the beauty of simply being. In a world that moves so quickly, I want to create a moment to pause.A little pause on a bigger canvas. 🩵#artexhibitions #artinberlin #vietnameseart #firstexhibition by @salonammoritzplatz

'priest hood'I met Leos in a picnic around the same time last year, as I was still struggling to come out of my shell. Before that, I only remember seeing them in a fashion flyer and wanted to meet them in person. They inspired me to pursue my long distilled dream of creating work with fabrics. The 'priest hood' is an homage to my childhood, and how some strange longings back then became the fibers of a life-long dream. The look redeems the idea of sacredness out of a stereotype, and Leos embodies the vibe of a modern day unconventional priest.Photography: Jona Castañeda @jonaspixels Model: Leos @leoslasutLearn more about the story(ies), philosophy and micropolitics behind my fashion collection at our next pop-up salon: 'show & tell' summer edition, 01 july, wednesday 16-22h, show from 20h, Salon am Moritzplatz (more infos on my website). It's a hot summer. Excited for this, and happy to be in the mix, anew. :) <3'show & tell, summer edition'01 july, 16-22h, performance from 20hSalon am MoritzplatzLast spring, I launched my textile atelier with a salon event held at the Mavi Cafe in Kreuzberg. In the presence of close friends and networks, I premiered two looks that were made alive by two amazing artists: Dira & Leos. The looks form part of my first-ever collection which I am presenting and publishing seasonally over the course of the year. This summer, the launch continues with a pop-up shop and group exhibition revealing more works and the philosophy behind my work; and in an extra sweet, special company of a 'sari-sari' mix of artists and their sensibilities.Photography: Jona Castañeda @jonaspixelsModels: Dira & Leos @dirandrakala @leoslasut about show & tell:show & tell gathers a ‘potpourri’ of artists co-curating an impromptu shop and exhibition re-oriented towards mingling and weaving their practices, perspectives, trade and media into a dynamic conversation. The original precursor to this format was the Sari-Sari project, an art salon initiated by Pepe Dayaw that opened its doors in Berlin-Neukölln between 2017 and 2022 that held space for numerous performance happenings and featured various artists.Poster @sahrahfey with @dunkelvd @dirandrakala @sahrahfey @jona.dyosa @isatabasuares & Ines de Nil'show & tell' event is proudly part of the @studio2retail side event program of Berlin Fashion Week. @berlinfashionweFree entry. 'tutu boy'I met Dira (as Andra) back in my Sari-Sari days sometime in 2019. Since then, I've witnessed their remarkable transformation as his own artist and author, and along the non-linear pathways of re-connections, me and her became friends out of shared experiences of loss and grief. The 'tutu boy' look was inspired by my times of adolescence, the growing pains it brought and coming to terms with the past. The artist Dirandra Sandyakala perfectly embodies this look.Photography: Jona Castañeda @jonaspixels Model: Dirandra Sandyakala @dirandrakalaLearn more about the story(ies), philosophy and micropolitics behind my fashion collection at our next pop-up salon: 'show & tell' summer edition. 01 july, wednesday 16-22h, performance from 20h, Salon am Moritzplatz (more infos on my website).
