Today we are celebrating what would have been Nana Amado’s 104th birthday! She and Jules share the spirit of strong women who never ask permission to make a statement and be great in this world. Both are storytellers in their own beautiful way, and it has been Caskey’s dream to document Jules bringing her grandmother’s essence to life. Through sharing her coming up story, we hope to inspire others to believe in themselves, honor where they come from, and have faith in the path ahead.

What if your college dorm had four wheels, and education was a luxury you could barely afford? LA LA LA follows five relentless students forging futures from parking lots, life hacks, and whispered midnight dreams. Moved by the rhythm of the streets and the heartbeat of hope, this story is a microcosm of the raw, unfiltered reality of unhoused youth all over America by @salonno13

Allow us to introduce ourselves. We’re Salon No.13, a production collective founded by Caskey Ebeling, uniting with an incredible cohort of storytellers to script a future we all want to live into. We believe storytelling is an act of civil duty—a first step in creating change, breaking down social barriers, and raising consciousness around the inequities that touch us all.

Our mission is to spark provocative conversations, bring them to screen, and ignite a movement toward an equitable tomorrow, giving voice to the muted and inviting you into the process of healing and humanity. The making itself is both the experience and the outcome.

Tonight, at the #LALALABenefit, we spotlight our first project LA LA LA—a film about unhoused youth navigating college life in Los Angeles. Follow @salonno13 for behind‑the‑scenes moments, impact stories, and ways you can join the movement and script the world you want to see. by @salonno13
