Join us for an intimate evening at @saloon.store as we take a closer look at our best-selling perfume, Bareback.

We’ll be sharing the inspiration behind the scent, the smells we set out to capture, and the process of bringing it to life.

We’ll also bring in some key raw materials and reveal how they were used and what each contributes to the final composition. There is so much time and exploration and precision that goes into developing a perfume; we can’t wait to get into the details and share the stories that shaped this particularly special design.

Cakes will be supplied by @throat_kitchen, with cocktails inspired by the Yarra Valley.

Tickets are linked in our bio and include a discovery kit and discount on a 50ml bottle of any of our scents.

Asha Bowditch at Saloon
Now until October 28th

When a story is told over and over, the line between truth and fiction blurs. Bowditch plays with this act of retelling, manipulating movement and light to transform autofictional moments into something completely new.

Using sets, props, photographs and compositional staging techniques, Bowditch depicts these fictions and truths before committing them to canvas. The result glows like a feverishly ambiguous dream: a final ruminative act.

By withholding the true source of what is memorialised, the stories remain stuck in an anticipatory limbo. Like a whispered secret coming back entirely different, the painterly hand allows a new, tantalising story to reveal itself.
