Jawai ofcourse it is ❤️ spotted a new male leopard!
This shot was a tough one - early morning - inbetween the foliage - dodging the branches! Waiting for the moment where I get eye contact and a clear shot of the face! - trying to read the movement - came together as best as I could have ❤️

Gear, through and through Nikon

Thanks @vanyascapes for arranging a solo trip for me to Jawai and back! 5 safaris ! 4 gorgeous leopards ! 1 hard working driver - overall a fantastic trip!

The next few posts on my feed are from my 40th birthday celebration — a truly unforgettable trip curated by @ahtclicks_wildlife 🙏

Ranthambore ! EPIC EPIC !
I genuinely feel everyone should experience something like this with their friends and family. Just get in touch with AMIT NOW! 🤩

Next frame:
A once-in-a-lifetime moment.
A fawn in the jaws of Riddhi’s male cub. We watched him carry it across the road, settle down at the side, and finish it in under 20 minutes.
Raw. Real. Unfiltered nature.
I was literally shaking — a mix of awe, joy, and disbelief that I was witnessing this with my own eyes.
Many more moments coming up.
And once again, thank you Amit for making this birthday one I’ll never forget.
Shot on the Nikon Z8 + 180–600mm..

Big shout out to all who made my trip extra special

Meet Chhota Dadiyal.
He carries forward one of Tadoba’s most formidable bloodlines.
Son of the legendary Dadiyal — the massive dominant male known for that unmistakable facial ruff & insaneeeee presence
And now… the legacy walks on.

Every time I watch this clip, it gives me chills.
Not just because of who he is —
but because of how he moves as well.

And maybe this is the dancer in me…
but look at that turnout.
If Ballet dancers had claws

Location: Tadoba, Mohurli Core
Shot on: Nikon Z8, 18-600mm Lens
Angle: Painfully Low 🙈🙈

Thanks @ahtclicks_wildlife to have taken this detour! What an epic decision - only comes from experience 💪💪💪

I think I’m the only one who feels like this leopard is playing the guitar with his throat — just strumming one string at a time. 🎸🐆

This video was such a hard one to take. No tripod. Hands shaking. Foliage constantly distracting. Trying to hold focus. Sweat dripping. Breath being held for far too long.

But that’s exactly what I love about being in the forest.

The challenge. The anticipation. The frustration. The experience. The feeling.

It’s not just about getting the shot. It’s everything that happens while trying to get it — and somehow, that’s what keeps pulling me back into the forest, safari after safari.

And every single one of my safaris has been curated by @vanyascapes . I genuinely believe that everything I experience — and everything I don’t — is a direct reflection of their experience, understanding and ability to read the forest. ❤️ by @salsawalacaptures

What can I say now ❤️❤️

The One We Hadn’t Seen. 🐯
N4.
The shy one. The elusive male of Gothangaon. The one we had heard so much about but hadn’t managed to see across our first four safaris.

And then, on our fifth and final safari, the forest decided to give us a few precious minutes with him.

He appeared through the foliage, crossed the marshy landscape, gave us a few fleeting glances and disappeared back into the forest.
That was it.
But sometimes, that’s all you need.

I was lucky enough to get this frame — not a classic close-up, but one that I actually love because it tells the story of where we found him.

In the landscape.
And this is where the photography becomes almost as fascinating as the sighting itself.

Look at the greens.
There must be hundreds, perhaps thousands, of variations of green in this frame. Add the browns, the yellows, the greys, the water and the grasses — and somehow nature puts all of these colours together so effortlessly.

The challenge for me in processing this photograph was simply NOT to interfere too much.

To bring out what I remember seeing that morning, without making it look better than reality.
Just trying to recreate the sighting.

We were incredibly lucky to see him.
And even luckier that, over five safaris, the forest eventually allowed us to see the entire family — F2, N4 and all four cubs.
A few minutes with N4.
A lifetime of memories.
Thank you, Mother Forest and Crystal Reach. 🌳🐯

Safari with @vanyascapes ❤️❤️ by @salsawalacaptures

Blending in, without disappearing. 🐯
One of my favourite frames from our very first sighting of F2 and her cubs.

What struck me most when I looked at this scene wasn’t just the family — it was how beautifully everything around them seemed to belong together.

The colours.
The tones.
The textures.
The mud.
The foliage.
The stripes.

Everything almost blends into everything else, and yet somehow, the tigers stand out exactly when you look for them.

That, to me, is the magic of a tiger in its natural habitat.
As someone who enjoys the photography as much as the sighting, I tried my best in processing this frame to bring out what I remember seeing that day — the depth of the greens, the warmth of their coats, the texture of the forest floor and, most importantly, those eyes.

Not to make the photograph look different from what we saw.
Just to get it as close as I could to how it felt standing there.

And then you look at the frame again and realise…
They were never really hiding.
They were simply part of the forest. 🌳🐯

Wanna go for a Safari - DM @vanyascapes IMMEDIATELY ❤️

Back in early 2009, Panna went completely silent.

Poaching had wiped out every single tiger. The official count was zero. Most people wrote it off, thinking the forest had lost its crown for good.

What happened next is one of the grittiest comeback stories in modern conservation. A handful of tigers were quietly brought in from Kanha and Bandhavgarh, tracked round-the-clock on foot by forest guards who practically lived in the bushes. Against all odds, the cats adapted, litters were born on hidden rock ledges, and the forest reclaimed its roar. Today, dozens of tigers roam these plateaus.

So why Panna?
Because it doesn’t look or feel like any other park in Central India.

It’s massive sandstone gorges carved by the turquoise Ken River, table-top plateaus, and sheer cliff faces where vultures nest. When a tiger steps out along a canyon ridge in the cold December mist, the frame is unlike anything else.

We’re heading there 16th–20th Dec 2026 for 6 private drives, staying at—a quiet photographic luxury retreat right on the fringe where the nights are just bonfires, jungle stories and some insane photography led by our mentor!!

Keeping the vehicle count tiny as always. DM us or shoot a WhatsApp to +91 8828882692 if you’d like to jump in.

There’s something about watching a tiger walk alone through the grass that just hits differently.

No cubs. No drama. No rush.
Just F2, completely in her own world, walking through the light as if she owned every inch of the forest.

Our solo sighting of her — and somehow, these quiet moments stay with you just as much as the big ones. 🐅🌿
