deja de perseguir lo que te hace dudar de ti. Deja de tocar puertas que solo se abren a medias. Deja de intentar convencer a alguien de que eres digno de amor.

Y quizá ahí empieza todo, cuando dejas de buscar afuera la confirmación que llevas tanto tiempo necesitando y empiezas a darte tú mismo el amor, el respeto y la certeza que esperabas recibir de alguien más.

Cada quién ofrece lo que tiene, pero tú decides qué recibir. Lo que aceptas, es el reflejo de lo que crees merecer. Nadie define tu valor si tienes claro el tuyo.

Me gusta pensar que esta incomodidad que siento hoy no es un castigo.

Que me está obligando a hacerle más espacio a la vida, a las personas, a las experiencias.

Quizás el corazón no se rompe para cerrarse, quizás se rompe para agrandarse.

No crecí escuchando historias de amor. Crecí viéndola.

Gracias a ellos aprendí que el amor también es quedarse, elegir a la misma persona una y otra vez, incluso cuando la vida no siempre es fácil.

60 años después, esta sigue siendo mi historia de amor favorita.

Quizás un video de unos minutos nunca podrá resumir toda una vida juntos, pero sí puede mostrar el legado que dejan detrás: una familia construida con amor, sacrificio, respeto y compañerismo.

Feliz 60 aniversario, abuelos. Gracias por enseñarme con el ejemplo que el amor verdadero sí existe.

Y si alguna vez me cuesta adaptarme a las nuevas generaciones, es porque crecí admirando un amor como este.
