Happy October 🍂

For us, this time of year is finally a chance to catch up on all the little things that get pushed aside during the craziness of peak season…

Printers acting up. Computers crashing. Wires everywhere. Systems that “work”… until they don’t 😂

So we’re using the slower moments to clean it up, fix what needs fixing, and hopefully eliminate a few of those future headaches.

I know every business owner can relate… if you have the time to fix it now, FIX IT NOW.

One less phone call. One less problem. One less thing you have to deal with when you’re already slammed.

The @greenportmaritimefestival has officially been postponed due to the impending storm.

I just want to give a quick thank you to Sarah at @firstandsouth , Rena at @theweatheredbarn , Kim at @harborpet and @karabellaa from @nofoartcollective for all of the time, effort, energy, and commitment they’ve put into making this event happen. We know how much work goes on behind the scenes and truly appreciate everything you guys do.

While the festival may be postponed, we’ll still be in Greenport this weekend and running some Maritime Festival specials in-store through the weekend.

Then we’ll be ready to do it all again for the rescheduled festival, October 16–18!

Thank you again, stay safe, and we’ll see you this weekend.

Scientists have finally identified the rare Long Island species known as Saltwater Joe.

Typically found near the water wearing Jogo Shorts, Montauk Sunglasses, On Clouds, and carrying a Margarita… allegedly lemonade. 🌊😂

Height: 6’4”
Habitat: Anywhere coastal
Diet: Cold beverages
Natural defense: “It’s for content.”
Conservation status: Somehow still posting every day.
