Little bit about me. @jackardler

My name is Jack Ardler and I am a proud Aboriginal man from Jerrinja, Wandi Wandian Country. 🖤🔆❤️

Growing up in the beautiful coastal town of Culburra, surrounded by the Shoalhaven River and the stunning ocean, I spent my childhood in the saltwater surfing, swimming, fishing, every chance I got. This deep connection to the saltwater has transformed into my passion for photography, particularly surf photography, but I love shooting video, cultural events, sporting events, documentaries plus so much room to grow.

I want to share my gallery, capturing the breathtaking raw movements of the ocean over time, a reminder to embrace the beauty around us, even as life rushes by.

Being able to share our stories, our culture and our deep connection to this beautiful Country is something truly special. But watching our babies proudly bring those stories to life through song and dance is something that fills my heart with so much pride. 🖤

What an incredible few days we’ve had on Country in beautiful Booderee National Park, sharing a powerful cultural experience with @teamaustraliachallenge .

Through Djiriba Waagura, we’ve had the privilege of taking these amazing people on a journey of cultural learning, connection and leadership, guided by our 6 L’s model of leadership and the wisdom of our teacher and Cultural Grandfather, Uncle Paul Gordon.

This experience has been about so much more than leadership. It’s been about slowing down, listening to Country, understanding the importance of culture, respecting those who came before us and recognising the responsibility we all carry for future generations.

A massive thank you to @teamaustraliachallenge for embracing this journey with open hearts and minds. This special experience wouldn’t have happened without my brother @arthur_athlete. Also big love to @blakcede for creating the most amazing food for our special guests. Big love to @saltwatershutter Jack my little Cuz for capturing all these perfect moments! Black Rock, Summercloud 📍

What a special place for Local Mob to live, fish and surf every day. I’ve been trying to capture the beauty of this place for a very long time. There’s so much happening in and out of the water — wildlife everywhere and an incredible wave that everyone knows about. But it’s more than just the wave. This place is magical. The afternoon light here is like nothing I’ve ever seen.

Seeing the ocean do its thing right on golden light is the most incredible thing to witness in person, I live for these moments, it makes me feel so alive I will never get over the feeling it gives me. 🩵

A great weekend in the water with @currarongsurfschool 🌊

It’s inspiring to see what Sam is creating for women learning to surf on the South Coast — providing a supportive environment to build confidence, develop new skills and create a genuine connection with the ocean.

I’m grateful to have the opportunity to capture these moments and get a chance to be back in the saltwater myself. 🤙🏽
