Yates turns one year old today. Parenthood of no joke - it changes everything. It’s the most I’ve struggled physically, mentally, and emotionally in my whole life. The weird thing is that even with all the challenge, it’s brought the most deep fulfillment I can imagine. With every other life experience I’ve had and will have, there’s a finish line - a beginning, middle, and end. But when you choose to bring another human being into the world, you sign up for a totally unique human experience, one that never ends, only constantly changes. While today is of course about him, I wanted to take a step back and remember that the reason he’s here at all is because @sarah.yates.manzo is the only person on earth I’d want to do this with. Watching her become the mother I always knew she’d be has been truly special and I can never thank her enough. Happy birthday to the love we literally brought to life ❤️ by @salty_ketchup

Yates Vito Manzo 🤍

His name is a celebration of joining two families and creating a new one. He started his journey earthside on August 16th, my dad’s birthday, and made his appearance on August 17th, the anniversary of Byron’s dad’s passing. Although our dad’s aren’t physically here, we’ve never felt more connected

It may not have been his due date, but he knew exactly when he was meant to be here.

We’re so in love, grateful, sleepy, healthy, and so so happy.

‼️ STAN THE VAN IS NOW FOR RENT ‼️ It’s been a long road (literally) but we are so excited to finally share the adventure with you!
It’s your turn to take that trip you’ve been dreaming of, hit the road, never set up a tent, have lunch overlooking the ocean, share some wine in your cozy van while it rains, explore roads you’ve never been on, and just get away 🚐

I get in my own head… a lot. Turning 30 has always had this arbitrary weight in my mind — romanticizing the idea that things should all be dialed in by this random day. Well that’s dumb and that’s not how life works now or ever. There’s always challenges and there’s hopefully always good parts. It’s absurd how lucky and fortunate I am and this is just a micro slice of all the insane things that happened just this past year with the awareness that this is the highlight reel only: new job, new place to live, ran an ultra marathon, climbed Whitney (again) lol, epic journey in Arizona, surfing in the Mentawai islands in Indonesia, music festivals in Tennessee, won a beach flag football season and the list keeps going. Noting to myself that the ‘good ol days’ can be whenever you want. by @salty_ketchup
