Amazing week fishing with my fav boys for another year!
Love these boys to bits and feel so lucky to have had them by my side supporting me through it all, wouldn't and couldn't do it without them.

Overall we finished the comp with -

Dean, our junior Angler secured 2 World Record fish and 2 Aussie records! Weapon.

OFFICIAL WORLD RECORD & AUSTRALIAN WOMENS SPEARFISHING RECORD FOR RED EMPEROR

First woman to spear a Red Emperor over 10kg!!!
This beauty weighed an incredible 11.58kg 💥

Insanity!!! Marcus and I have spoken about this moment for a long time and we had tried and tried, hundreds of dives on the clock and it proved to be incredibly hard to find a fish that could break this record weight!

I speared this record fish during our anniversary getaway, a memory we will never forget. We had come across a new dive spot, and upon having a dive each, we had only seen one very large trout and a cod. The fish life was slow compared to other spots we had dived, so we decided to move. I hesitated and asked Marcus if maybe it was worth shooting the trout as it was very large.... as always, he said, "have one more dive", in our previous history, one more dive has always proved to be one for the books.
I took one more dive, completely unbothered, moving at a snails pace. I leveled out once I reached the ledge, I looked to my right, and my heart stopped. TWO BIG F*** REDS!! The one at the front cruising past me was huge. Biggest I'd ever seen. I knew that was THE FISH. Adrenaline pumping through me I knew I couldn't miss this shot, I reached out my arms and kicked slowly towards it. It turned its head slightly towards me, and I took my shot. I secured a perfect holding shot. It felt like I rocketed up to the surface after that.

As you can hear in the video, it was all a high after that.
@marcuslonghurst was there cheering me on as always. Thank you 1 million times over to this man for always being my biggest supporter and believing in me from the very beginning!!! We did it! taken in Western Australia by @salty_rena

A morning spent at one of my favorite snorkeling sites in the lagoon.
