That’s a wrap for @tristate_tournaments
Although we didn’t finish in the cash, I’m super proud of the team. We were right in it, with another banner trip. We had quality yellows on the troll, stuck to the game plan, and had the pleasure of wrestling with some bigeyes on the jig. Nothing like landing these fish on spin, true sport.
Also, released a 110” giant bluefin on standup with the fight clock at 45 minutes. Pretty epic overnight.

@saltyoffshore was a mvp as usual giving us the best loom possible on water conditions to find that night bite.

ON THE TROLL!! 😳⚔️

It’s pretty amazing how things just work out sometimes!

Last night we gaffed a nice yellowfin tuna before dark and Ray Rosher turned to me and said, “You’re up next.” Little did Ray or any of us know this stud of a swordfish was going to be the next bite!

She smoked a lure on the troll and absolutely dumped me to the spool right off the rip! Thankfully the fight only lasted about 30 minutes and she came to the surface.

Super blessed to be given the opportunity to catch this fish of a lifetime! Thank you Lord for all your many blessings. Such a surreal moment catching this monster with my squad.

Saturday was a special day catching a pair (167.5 lb & 147.5 lb) Allison tunas (mature yellowfin) during the Ocean City Tuna Tournament to win 2nd Biggest Fish. Doing it with my brother and dad during a tournament was icing on the cake. For my hunting and shooting friends this fish is pretty hard to catch in the Atlantic Ocean, maybe equal to free range 170” deer.

Early season yellowfin topwater bite in the canyons! We were definitely late to the party.
