A cheeky life update cause we’ve been so quiet on here AGAIN.

November last year we landed in this little beach town on the East Coast after 4 months exploring northern aus.
We’ve been working pretty full time in cafes, pizza shops and bottle shops and spending every day in between exploring more of Agnes.

Then in January we decided to fly over to WA for the quickest holiday to see our families while summer was still in full swing.
Amber is from a big family so we couldn’t miss getting the gang back together after so long and we got to surprise Blake’s parents at the same time.
A very wholesome and much needed break from the QLD humidity.

We alsooo celebrated 2 years of us, and half a year on the road already.

Now we are so excited because we’re officially counting down the days before we’re back on the road.

Just before our lap Blake found an old film camera.
No experience and mostly expired film, we took it down every road just in case.
Some of these have been my favourite photos so far, feeling like my parents travelling in the 90s taken in Australia by @saltyroaming

Finally dug through camera footage of (mostly) our first few months on the road.

My favourite thing about this whole journey, was the absolute simplicity of each day.
Our travels on the whole, was this big adventure where we saw beautiful places, hiked and swam in waterfalls,
and yet
we mostly just did nothing.

Every day we woke up and slowly drank our coffees, we fished, read books, played music, made damper.
Our days were so simple.
And it was genuinely my favourite thing in the world. by @saltyroaming

📍Hall Beach

Front row seats to the sunset, campfires and windless nights (yay autumn in SA) and just enough dusty white sand to get absolutely everywhere 🙃

The Flinders Ranges —

A detour into the outback where dry farmland turns into the Ikara-Flinders Ranges NP in the blink of an eye.

We did two big tracks into the ranges
Moralana scenic drive was fun to start, but all of our favourite views were tucked in Bunyeroo Brachina Gorge drive.

Chased Bunyeroo and Razorback lookout in the afternoon light before camping up underneath the rocks and stars.

Dhilba Guuranda-Innes NP —

We had such a fun time exploring this National park tucked in the furthest corner of the Yorke Peninsula.

Making friends with emus, many gravel tracks and roads that drop off into the rugged coastline.

Honourable mentions to the walk & views up to West Cape Lighthouse, rock pools along shell beach and Cape Spencer Lighthouse.

Worth the 3 hr drive through farmland to get here 🌾

This camp in the Yorke Peninsula😍

We did mayyybe 30 seconds of research before we pulled up here and an overnighter turned into 3 days of exploring all the different beaches that we could hike to.

South Australia so far has been insane🌊

Fleurieu Peninsula —

We followed the blue waters up the coast to Port Willunga beach caves.
Little storage ports for fishermen to store their boats and equipment back in the day.

Our first swim in South Aus was in some rock pools we found in Carrickalinga. It was as icy as you’d imagine❄️ but we felt so good after!
