Last week I had the honor of exhibiting my latest piece, Jido wa bintou, at Becoming & Belonging by @kanxsuda. Huge thank you to @aarafxadam, @sakinagallerina, @okayhanan, and the entire team for creating such a beautiful space and giving me the chance to share something so personal. And to my community I am endlessly grateful for the love and support you’ve shown. 💗

To me, becoming is all the experiences that shape us, helping us grow into ourselves. We are the sum of everything we’ve lived through and everyone we’ve lived alongside. You all are part of my becoming.

Belonging is something we create—the spaces we nurture, the communities we build, and the ones we find ourselves embraced by. That evening was a reminder of the power of art, memory, and community.
