I'm officially cooked. Two broken arms and now confirmed break in hand that was missed and may require surgery.. as well as a broken AC from a previous crash that was found just for added fun although that's not painful at least. See ya in 2027 👍🏻 by @sam.c_cc

My race season never really started this year, but it was nice to get out for a Rapha Summercross round. Hopefully I can rescue the season a bit with some Cross racing through Autumn/winter.

Having a weekend off the bike right now, but looking back a few weeks ago to my last race in the @london_and_se_cross_league which was Rd. 6 at East Bysshe.

First taste (literally) of muddy cx. Gridded 6th Ind on the front row gave me imposter syndrome but managed to bring it home in 6th after not having any time for practice laps.

Looking forward to my next race whenever I can find the time!

Last weekends @london_and_se_cross_league race was Herne hill.

A more favourable grid position for this race had me on the second row, and instead of fighting through the field it was more about keeping people behind.

I made up some places off the line but it was apparent that those at the front had more technical ability than me and surely enough a few riders got back past.

Managed to finish one place better than my starting position to come home 8th senior.

Really struggled in the second half of the race and felt exhausted at the end. Tested positive for COVID the next evening... So it's a week off the bike for me 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

Had a blast at Rd 2 of the @london_and_se_cross_league at Crystal Palace. Managed to fight my way up the order from a back row start and end up in no mans land. Decent result for my first league race.

CX is starting to win me over...

Emonda ALR back to winter spec. With the 1x SRAM groupset this thing was too good to ride in the rain and I had no winter bike. Sram groupset back on the CX Bike and 105 back on this for some winter miles.

Had my first taste of CX a few weeks back at @cyclocrossreigate on a particularly hot and sweaty day.. not what CX is known for but I had a blast.

Alot of learnings had, and road gears most definitely not appropriate but I faired pretty well.

Maybe the next few races will be a bit muddier?

10mile TT at Goodwood last week hosted by @a3crg was an absolute treat.

Lovely weather, a great track and very well organised.

Thanks to @jasons_cyclingunboxed for getting me out and showing me the ropes.

I'm starting to really enjoy a TT... taken in Goodwood Motor Circuit by @sam.c_cc

Hillingdon Tuesdays. Not able to regularly make these, but @waldywheelers always has a good showing there, it's always nice to ride with team mates.

Nice to make it to full race distance after last week's puncture fest 🫠

May have just turned the winter bike into a flat road killer.
