Goodbyes aren’t easy.

I’m eternally grateful for what wrestling has given to me over my high school years. Grit and determination. Overcoming obstacles. Doing things I didn’t think I could ever do. Wrestling’s a bit like life: there’s a bit of luck thrown in every now and then, but ultimately, it’s about showing up day in and day out, grinding every day and getting better. I couldn’t have done everything I did without the help of lots of people.

I’m thankful for @nick__feldman and his hard work and success that inspired me to try something new when I was a tiny freshman who sucked at basketball. I had no clue what I was getting myself into.

Thank you to @ethankring for being my day one training partner, and spending massive amounts of your time and your senior season to help me make my baby steps.

Thank you to @dlongo16 , @cbeach97, @pete__renda and everyone at Capital City Wrestling Club that built up my physical and mental toughness every day going into my final year.

Thanks to Coach Cummings, Coach J, and Ravenscroft Wrestling for taking me in as a transfer, throwing me right into the system and allowing me to grow as a wrestler and a man. And thanks to @slade_goller for being the best training partner I could have asked for since day one at Ravenscroft.

Thanks to the senior fellas for always cheering me and Slade on coming to the matches whenever you could.

The biggest thanks of all goes to my Dad, who believed in me from the beginning when I didn’t even believe in myself. You never missed a tournament or a match, and I cannot describe how much that means to me. You were always in my corner. I love you, Dad!

4th in the State on a sprained MCL, dislocated kneecap, and severed knee cartilage.
