The book, "Daughters of Char Chinar" by Almas Hussain is her second work of fiction. Language is both eloquent and elevated. The expository writing style narratively adds to the interest of readers with the conflicts and order of the plot. The mention of the great dramatist Shakespeare, D.H.Lawrence, great painters like Picasso, Botticelli, Da Vinci, Raphael, Rembrandt, Monet, Ver Meer, Van Gogh pays tribute to their excellence.

The story revolves around the two young girls Nafisa and Meher who grow up inside the larder of the kitchen by a cook named tuktuk, despite of being born in an aristocratic family. Feminism is one of the major themes. While burning desire to eradicate a tribal monstrosity tradition of ‘Jirga court,’ which provides justice to only aristocratic males who share the victim with their friends like one shares soft drinks while a gathering where women are sacrificed for atonement by the accused is another remarkable theme. Love and Passion being the pleasing and inspiring el respectively adds to the elegance and significance of the story, keeps the readers hooked till the very last page of the book.

This book is a combination of Contemporary realism, inspiration, romance, thriller. However, some grammatical errors are found here and there which if polished ones the book will become spotless. It's a highly inspirational story of not only two girls, but also about the contribution, love, support, and fa by one's family, teachers, mentors, and beloved t is undeniably a supreme theme in itself.
