Tonight is the sacred night! Here is the final line up! We wish to see you all there, please be @timeisthenewspace at 21:00 as the @radvlad AV performance is not one to miss!

Much to our dismay @velesthemenace will not be joining us this round due to issues in travel! He will be sadly missed - in his place we have @kaicult666 [aus] a DIGIPUNK prodigy and riveting live act!

Lastly expect air conditioning in the venue to make up for the intense heat and humidity - after all the GATES OF SUMMER are here - and with them a heat wave! Stay hydrated everyone and see you on the floor!

Much love and excited to see you,

SAMODIVA invites you to their sixth chapter: GATES OF SUMMER presenting a fiery revival for the Rotterdam collective. Celebrating the heat with a stacked, high energy mix of live acts and DJ sets!

Doors - 21:00

RADVLAD - 21:15

RADVLAD is the musical project of North Macedonian, Netherlands-based artist Vladimir Vidanovski. After more than a decade of working as a visual artist, Vidanovski explores sonic expression, using crunchy pop tunes, deep raver beats and cinematic soundscapes in his musical language. In his performances he shows videos with the different personas of RADVLAD.

Veles the Menace - 22:15

Veles The Menace is a rising force in the UK underground. Concocting a seamless fusion of electro-punk, screamo, grime, jungle, noise and post-hardcore. Visceral guitar work chopped over rapid breaks and explosive bass. Vocals drenched in melancholia glitch into distorted screams at the flip of a switch. Sections of ethereal noise rip curls into crushing percussion.

Lui Surreal - 23:15

Lui Surreal is a Scottish-born, multi-media artist carving an anomalous lane in the global underground. A rebel, lover and a trickster, they have built a body of work grounded in love, melancholy and addiction - with catharsis as the primary intent. Sampling from a wide array of Alternative styles, their music is genre-defiant draws from Punk Rock, Goth, Electronic, Alt-Rap, and Witch House what could be defined as Neuro Punk.

Secret Act - 00:15

Parrish Smith 01:30 - closer

Parrish Smith has always existed as a vessel between worlds. Shaped by Surinamese, Hakka Chinese, and Hindustani roots — navigating different realities and connecting all asymmetrical sides. Refusing fixed identities and rigid genres, his work dissolves boundaries between techno, EBM, industrial music and ritual, punk and dance music, intimacy and confrontation.

*Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, PL3TH0RA won’t be performing at GATES OF SUMMER. SAMODIVA hope to have her back soon! A secret special guest will be joining us with a magical set in the penultimate slot!

࿓ RADVLAD is the musical project of North Macedonian, NL-based artist Vladimir Vidanovski. After more than a decade of working as a visual artist, Vidanovski explores sonic expression, using crunchy pop tunes, deep raver beats and cinematic soundscapes in his musical language. Hopping between different genres and influences, he produces music that is narrative-driven in a way that closely mimics the methodology of his visual art, exploring the confluence of virtual worlds and our physical reality, and their influences on queer bodies. Each track he creates is essentially a character navigating mountains of steep arpeggios, rivers of sparkly plucks and heavily thundering beats.

He performs as the shapeshifting persona of RADVLAD in the videos and live performances, allowing his body to become a vessel for narratives relating to identity politics and pop culture. At his shows, he takes the stage as a lively, energetic persona, curiously interacting with the projections of the videos, becoming one with the digital characters. The viewers are invited to participate in this process of cross-platform metamorphosis through their spectatorship.

RADVLAD will be opening the night on the 27th of June 21:15 with this miraculous audio-visual performance @timeisthenewspace so be there for doors at 21:00 because this spectacle is NEVER ONE TO MISS!

we have returned from the other side to celebrate Roodkapje’s relocation this Saturday 28.03. A different Roodkapje to the one in which we hosted our final chapter, before hiatus, in late 2024. Through the wormhole we have ventured and out the other end.

For this happening we have mapped a sequence of three raw performance works that will take place between 22:00 and 23:00 in the new gallery space, amidst the current exhibition:

Beginning with @luisurreal
Followed by @magdalenahvpetrova
And ending with @sssssssssssoma of @trevogameansanxiety

We look forward to seeing you all there and celebrating in the rebirth of one of Rotterdams most iconic venues! by @sam.o.diva

𓇢𓆸 @sam.o.diva presents: @rbf.linh

Artist, live performer, and DJ, Linh Luu’s work is a deep reflection of her personal experiences and explorations of heritage and identity. Her creative journey as a queer individual of Vietnamese-Chinese descent takes inspiration from the complexities of growing up in the West and navigating the intersections of culture, identity, and belonging.

As one-half of the duo Animistic Beliefs, Linh delves into her roots, translating her feelings of displacement and her sexuality into stunning rhythms, vocals, and visuals.

Through her solo project rbf.linh, she unleashes unpolished, high-energy dance floor sounds—a loud protest against Asian binary stereotypes. Created and selected by a neuroqueer mind, Linh will enchant you with a wide variety of danceable, fast-paced drums and broken beats.

Linh’s ever-evolving artistry is driven by continuously reshaping herself at the crossroad of past, present, and future.

Tomorrow night, she will headline our club stage with a raw mix of vocals and high energy bangers!

You can claim your tickets for tomorrow’s club night via b!o & story - we’re excited to see u there 🗝️💞 taken in Roodkapje Rotterdam by @sam.o.diva

𓇢𓆸 @sam.o.diva presents: @luisurreal

Lui Surreal is the alter ego of Scottish-born artist Lui MacRae, whose multidisciplinary approach merges songwriting, performance, painting, and film into immersive world-building.

Luis craft explores the intricacies of love, likening its unpredictable highs and lows to the pull of addiction. Multifaceted and genre-defying, he navigates the outer edges of alternative music to create a deeply personal sonic and visual experience.

For SAMODIVA’s final chapter, Lui embarks on a two-part performance: the durational live painting of a matress mural suspended from the ceiling starting on Wednesday at 6 PM, continuing throughout opening hours, and culminating in a thrilling musical set, of predominantly unreleased material, on Friday at 11 PM with the support of @lsgatekeeper.punx band mate @j.carmi_

Step into this unique convergence of visual and sonic storytelling.

Wednesdays soft opening is free to enter and spans from 18:00-21:00
