We finished the 2026 Iditarod!

My finishing team was

Ohmer
Spartan
Hannah
Proper
Jolt
Zap
Current
Joule
Flicker
Stoat
Poplar
Astrid

Valley, Ceder, Birch, and Oak had to be dropped earlier in the race but still were a huge part of the team and are doing good at home.

It was such a amazing race to be a part of and an experience I’ll never forget. I’m still trying to process it. I hope to make it out on the trail again! I’ll do another post here soon.

I also want to say another huge thank you to Travis Beals and Sarah Stokey for letting me take their puppy team to Nome. taken in Nome, Alaska by @sam.paperman

I’ve officially signed up for the 2026 Iditarod! In addition to the Iditarod, I’ll also be racing the Knik 100, Knik 200, and the Copper Basin 300 as my final qualifiers before heading to Nome this March.

I’m beyond excited for the months ahead and so grateful for the people who’ve helped me get here. A huge thank you to Sarah Stokey and Travis Beals at Turning Heads Kennel for trusting me with their dogs and supporting me this season. Thank you to Matt Riess and Haleigh Bonk who will also be racing and training dogs with me at Turning Heads Kennel this winter, and a special shoutout to the Sikuliaq crew for helping me pay for my entry fee!

If you’d like to support my journey to Nome, my friend Sarah McManus is helping set up a GoFundMe soon, or you can always message me directly.

Here’s to an incredible season on the trail! taken in Turning Heads Kennel by @sam.paperman
