Stature (animated) 2024

I have been practicing to feel,
balancing it all within this all,
growing while keeping still,
uncertain but standing tall.
Strings pull the ears up hill
Naturally arching the the fall
from what you believe to be real.

Trying to put some life into some drawings from my sketch-book, an exercise of storytelling, of adding a dimension of time and change to your own drawings.

The absurd man lives by three

TO LIVE IN REVOLUTION
Death is anavoidable?
Then to rebel means to avoid it.
Only then, Him, who truly lives,
Is gifted with warm light.

REJECT ETERNITY
Reject hope...
Freedom? Not that
This, Here and now
Heaven is That.

I live for you, Passion
Sense it,
He who knows, His own mortality,
Yet does not accept it
Fool?

Knows only feathers of His reason
Yet holds them dear.
Feel the pains and pleasures...
And take in as many
as Him who does.

As tuas palavras não são minhas,
Nem elas são tuas
Mas sim de outra,
De uma fruta doce e crua
Cai na água que a rodeia.
...
Ternuras como picos
Violências como pétalas
Que albergam o calo.
Na água que nos rodeia.
...
Calada a serpente lampeja
Inocentemente,
Entranhada e torcida,
Dança harmoniosamente
Da água que lhe rodeia.
...
As minhas palavras são tuas, sempre minhas
Tão certo como o trovão
Lentamente presentes,
Apodrecem em diamantes.
Afundam na água que os rodeia.

There are no rules to what I show
There are no days, no times
No premeditations nor peaks
Going nowhere on a nonsensical path

These will be only remnants, caresses of relieved tensions

Mere pieces of my life that are horses to this trolley that walks sleepslessly.

Today I remember Florence,
Tomorrow lisbon, the day after only time will tell.

No need to lament, just vent, without form nor purpose, just like a tear in rain.

Maybe it nurtures something to grow or to be let to rot in the ceaseless roam.

Summer ended late...
But the fall keeps warm
The air humid,
thick with anticipations

The conditions for going are laid by the beach that lies below

Oh Beach! Why am I still so far?
I walk patiently, and still no answer.

The more I approach,
the farther it seems

Yet the voice of warm sands and calming waters await
Soothing the loud contradictions along the path.
