When you're shooting portraits on location with natural light, you don't get second chances. Samuel Sarfati has built his style around that reality, and in this video he walks through the techniques he relies on to stay confident and in control when the light and the moment are both moving.

One day in London. One creative challenge: The Art of Natural Light.

No flash, no artificial lighting - just the light we found on location, carefully shaped with diffusers, reflectors, and negative fill.

This editorial is a celebration of simplicity - proof that sometimes the most powerful images come from working with what’s already there. You don’t need a truckload of gear to create compelling images; often, great light and a clear vision are enough.

With @canonemeapro, I shared a look behind the scenes of my approach to portraiture photography, from scouting locations to practical tips on how to shape the light around you and creating images with a lightweight setup.

Thank you to Canon for their trust and for the opportunity to bring this project to life. It was a pleasure to collaborate on something that truly reflects the way I love to work.
