Thank you @forbes for making my BIGGEST dream in this world come true 🩷

I’ve always had really big dreams. The kind of dreams that were scary because they were so big. I didn’t always know how I was going to get there — I just knew that somehow, I would.

I was raised by a single mother, and people had a lot to say about us — about what my life would look like and how far I could go. Somehow, the very upbringing people thought would hold me back became the foundation that taught me how to fight for everything I wanted.

At 18, I started my business. That business went on to fund my entire college education. What started as a young girl trying to create a life for herself became a journey bigger than she could have ever imagined.

For years, I called myself “just a regular girl.” But everyone around me felt a spark in me and now I see what they saw. There has always been something inside of me that refuses to settle, refuses to stop dreaming, and refuses to believe that any dream is too big. Maybe that’s what has carried me this far.

And today, that same girl is in Forbes. I don’t think I have the words to explain what that feels like.

Since this feature came out, I feel like I’ve run out of tears. Seeing my name in Forbes was one of those dreams that once felt so far away — and now I’m living it.

Something in my heart tells me one day I’ll come back to this post and realize this was only the beginning.

To the 18-year-old girl who had no idea how she was going to make any of this happen but believed she would anyway — you were right.

And to anyone with a dream that feels too big - keep going. You don’t need to know exactly how you’re going to get there. Sometimes, you just have to believe that you will and have the most incredible support system. Every person in my life has believed in my dream and me more than I could’ve asked for. I’ve always have the most faith in God because he is the reason I’m here today aH.

I hope my journey can be an example for other South Asian women. We need more of us dreaming big, choosing creative paths, taking up space and showing the world that there is no limit to where we belong. And we really can do it all ✨ by @samaabysamia
