rest in peace to the best dog i could have ever asked for. my soul dog. dexter you were one of a kind. the sweetest most humble dog i’ve ever known. words can’t even express how heartbroken i am to have had to say goodbye to you today. i am so so blessed to have had almost 14 years with you by my side. i will forever cherish every memory we have together. my best friend and my emotional support. you were the one who would lay next to me during the darkest times of my life. you would lick the tears away. you saved me. i wish i could take you down to the water and watch the sunset with you again or go to the fields and play and let you run free one more time. you brought so much light into our family, and everybody who met you fell in love with you. you were the most precious soul. i am going to miss you so so much but i’m glad you’re not in pain anymore and are able to rest. sweet dreams my love. i’ll see you again one day pup. 🤍🕊️ by @samabermannn

all good things must come to an end, but this is my hardest goodbye.

as the chapter closes on this unforgettable season, it’s hard to find the right words to say farewell to a team that has meant so much to me. i am so glad i never gave up on my dream, because it led me to the best experience of my entire life. this team saved me. i am heartbroken that this season has come to an end, but have made my best memories and have met my new family. i could not have had a successful season without my teammates right by my side cheering me on. i am forever grateful for this sport and my girls. it felt like a week ago i was stepping on the ice with strangers, but where did the time go? time flies when you’re having fun, but i wish it could have slowed down so i could have cherished this journey even more. the wins, the losses, the laughter, the tears, and everything in between has been so special. i will remember every second of every practice, every shift of every game, and every tournament weekend, wether we were running around the hotel until 2 am, messing around in target, or sitting at a table of 30 being the loudest in the restaurant.

this team means the world to me and this goodbye has been heartbreaking. i cannot thank my girls enough. you guys have been the ground beneath my feet. you all inspire me every day, and i am so thankful for the energy and support you surround me with. i am so blessed to have such a great team. thank you from the bottom of my heart.
