I can’t help but smile knowing there is only one more sleep until @anypatchofgrass festival 😚

The sun will be shining all weekend, and you can find this golden boy literally just vibin’ on the crystal grove stage @ 10pm tomorrow.

Vienna x Heimlich memory photo dump: it’s already been over a month(!?) since my spontaneous trip to Vienna… aye, the summer is flying by.

When @heimlichcrew announced their final event back in May, I booked a flight to without a second thought. Yeah, kinda crazy, but I knew I’d regret missing it. I’ve been a Heimlich fanboy for years; I still remember sending them my first demo, “Maximus,” except I accidentally spelled it “Maximux” in the email. We laughed, kept the typo, and I remember thinking, these are my kind of people.

After I told them I was making the trip, they invited me to open the show and set the mood. Opening a sold-out room before the incredible talents @marthavanstraaten , @rampue , and all the Heimlich crew is something I’ll never forget.

Thank you, @heimlichcrew , for the music, the inspiration, and for trusting me with the opening moments of your final dance. The parties may be over, but the music lives on—and I’ll always be one of your secret biggest fans.

A couple weeks ago I released “Mutiny” as part of Beyond Compilation II with @beyond_collective_berlin , alongside 24 incredible artists.

This track was inspired by the idea of a lone captain lost at sea. I wanted it to feel stormy, haunted, and a little delirious…as if someone was singing into the wind, hoping for an answer that may never come.

It’s also the first time I’ve used my own vocals in one of my music. Writing the lyrics and finding the right delivery pushed me way outside my comfort zone, but I’m really proud of how it turned out.

Turns out I’m just a giant nerd making electronic music about pirates.

The word is out, friends — we are chuffed to unveil Temporal Presents, a new series at the Blind Liger 🖤

SONIDO continues as home for our residents and community, but Temporal Presents is where we bring in artists from further afield who are helping shape the sounds we love.

For the first edition we’re welcoming Antaares (CDMX) to Portland for the first time. His sound is deep and hypnotic, rich with texture, the kind that pulls you in from the first bar and doesn’t let go. We’ve been wanting to bring him here for a long time. This one means a lot to us.

Joining him are two artists who have graced our floor before and who we are always happy to have back:

Bawab (LA) | sharp, precise, sometimes wonky, always right on time

Samaha (Seattle) | slow, warm grooves to kick the night off right

Expect low-slung grooves, unexpected twists, and a night that slowly builds its way into a fiery dance floor.

2025....decent!

My year had some fun trips to some familiar places: A second visit to Japan with good friends... to Holbox with my best friend...and to Miami with my saxophone savant little brother. I did a lot of pottery. A first time Raku firing. I made a lot of nice latte art! in mugs! That I made! I hooped a ton. I saw Russell Westbrook hit a 3. I played some quality music shows with good people. I didn’t release a whole lot of new music 🙂‍↕️ but I did start recording my own voice on some music, coming soon…

2025 had lots of ups and downs, but I’m grateful for it all. I hope you fine folks had a decent 2025 as well. Cheers to 2026 🤘🏼 #happynewyear
