Woo-hoo! What a year for the #Astros! #WorldSeries champs! So glad @ericarmaier and I could be part of it - from April at Minute Maid to mid-June and my 50th birthday in Arlington to New York and back to #Houston for WS Game 1. 40+ years a fan and still going strong! Here’s to more titles ahead! ⚾️🏟️😤🏆🎉 #MLB taken in San Antonio, Texas by @samaier1

Had a great 5-0 birthday Monday (June 13) with @ericarmaier! Hung out in #Arlington, watching #Astros lose (again), this time to #Rangers. Then, some late night #tiki drinks at @4kahunas. Perfect! 🚗🏟⚾️🙄🤷🏼‍♂️🍹🥰👍🏻 #Fiftyandfabulous #tikibar #baseball #havetikiwilltravel taken in Globe Life Field by @samaier1

Welp. 🤷🏼‍♂️🏟 @ericarmaier & I came out to #Atlanta and #TruistPark for Game 4 of #Braves-#Astros #WorldSeries on Saturday night. Memorable time at #BatteryPark that ended in pain. 😑🤬 taken in Truist Park by @samaier1

On April 22, 2014, @ericarmaier & I flew into #SanFrancisco, not as tourists but as residents, thanks to my new job at #UCSF. Now, almost exactly 7 years later, we return to #Texas - specifically #SanAntonio, where I was born & raised & she attended #UTSA.

We’ve made countless #BayArea & #California memories - so many to treasure & just a handful to forget. But what we’ll miss most are the people - my @ucsf work colleagues & our friends, neighbors and fellow residents. Still, this isn’t farewell.

We’ll be back in person to the “City by the Bay” and in the interim keep tabs online of the latest developments and happenings. Thank you all, God bless and be safe, as we leave our ♥️s in San Francisco. taken in San Francisco, California by @samaier1
