The beauty of a photoshoot is that it’s a place where our collective stories converge and collide, producing sparks of beautiful moments captured in the palm of our hand and preserved in time. It is the people we meet and the moments we share that stick with us and make the endless steps through rain and mud worth it. by @samanddesign

Sometimes we don’t notice the towering load we’re carrying as we blaze on at 100mph. Until we stop, step away,and look over our shoulder and wonder: when did all that shit pile up?

I’m so grateful for having had the last two weeks to do absolutely nothing and anything. I stared at the ocean for hours. I stood in the ocean with the waves crashing all around me just to be reminded of mother nature’s merciless force. I got sand in all the places. I walked through streets aimlessly letting chance find me. Time was both suspended around me and moving through me.

I blew through rolls of film, at times hitting the shutter button simply to indulge in the pleasure of feeling it click beneath my finger reminding me that I was present. I drove through the middle-of-nowhere-Baja surrounded by towering cacti that told of stories I wish I understood. I floated in the ocean while the desert stretched itself out for miles.

I am finally painting again after years away from my brushes. Rest is essential for life. There is no restoration without rest. This was not the vacation we had planned. But it sure turned out to be the vacation I needed. by @samanddesign

What an amazing week with the most amazing team. You brought the sun everywhere we went. I am both humbled and grateful to have worked with every one of you….here’s to hoping our paths cross again soon!
