The restlessness that comes with
Feeling uncomfortable in your own skin,
With wondering where the pieces
Of yourself have gone
Or where that spark has been.
But like the world around us,
our hearts are seasonal too.
And the beauty of who you are
Will return to you. -Liz Newman by @samanthachaon

I don’t know if my name would come to mind when thinking of a champion…
Wrestling has taught me there are infinite ways to define a champion. A champion is someone who shows up everyday to get better, and pushes themselves well past the point at which they wanted to give up. A champion is a good teammate on and off the mat, even on days that have knocked them on their ass. A champion lives “the lifestyle”, providing themselves with everything they need to keep a healthy mind and body. A champion relishes the opportunity to compete, regardless of the wins and losses. A champion does allow themselves ice cream after a tournament, because that shits hard and they earned it. Wrestling has given me friendship, confidence, athleticism, motivation, and wide array of other things that prove to me everyday, that despite my record, I am a champion. I cannot wait to continue the growth! taken in Superior Dome by @samanthachaon
