I care way more about the values inside our home than anything else.
I want my kids to grow up knowing respect, loyalty, kindness, accountability, hard work, and love in action, not just words.
That’s the kind of legacy I care about leaving behind. 🤍

Our parenting style in one sentence:
If you’re gonna be dumb… you better be tough. 💪😏
Raising resilient kids, one scrape, spill, and adventure at a time.
I want to raise them to be brave,
To trust themselves and to try things that might be scary. Although my kiddos are far from dumb I like seeing them explore risky play

The chaos is real, but so is the sweetness. Raising a boy means getting the biggest hugs, the sweetest little “I love yous,” and a kind of love that hits you right in the heart.
There’s a soft side that isn’t talked about enough. #

I know. 🤍

Because I know how lucky I am to have people who show up.

The kind of family you can call when life gets hard.
The kind who celebrates the little things.
The kind who loves your kids like they’re their own.
The kind who makes ordinary days feel special simply because everyone is together.

I’ll never apologize for being grateful for that.

Some people are lucky enough to have family.

I’m lucky enough to genuinely like mine, too. 🥹

My favorite thing isn’t just that my kids have family.

It’s that they have family who chooses them.

The people who remember the little things.
Who ask about their newest interests.
Who make time.
Who show up even when life is busy.

The kind of love that makes a child feel known, valued, and important is such a gift.

I’ll never take for granted the people who pour into my kids, who make memories with them, and who remind them that they are surrounded by love.

A village isn’t about having a lot of people.

It’s about having the right people. 🤍

One of the best parts of growing up and doing life together is watching our husbands become friends too. 🤍

As sisters, it’s honestly the dream.

Getting to share family dinners, holidays, kids, memories, and all the little everyday moments together — and knowing our husbands genuinely love spending time together too.

Life is just a little more fun when your family feels like your friends. So grateful for this closeness and all the memories we get to make together.

Maybe I never won the lottery in the way people dream about…

but I have a family that shows up, loves hard, makes memories, and genuinely enjoys being together.

And when people say, “Wow, you’re so close with your family,” I don’t take that for granted.

Because one day, when my kids are grown, I hope they look back and say the same about us.

Money can buy a lot of things, but it can’t buy this. 🤍

Maybe I won the lottery after all.

I still don’t know how this became our reality.

I’m angry that my mom has to fight this. I’m angry that our family has been changed by a diagnosis we never saw coming. I’m angry that there are things we can’t un-know and a life we can’t go back to.

But alongside all of that anger and sadness, there is still so much hope.

So I’ll pray. I’ll believe. I’ll make the memories. I’ll soak up the ordinary days. I’ll celebrate every little thing.

Because cancer may have changed our forever, but it doesn’t get to take away the life we’re still living.

And I’ll keep praying that God hears us and heals her. 🤍

Life is so unfair. It makes no sense and while a lot of days it’s sadness,
sometimes it looks like anger.
Like resentment.
Like wondering why your family had to be handed something this devastating while everyone else gets to keep living their ordinary lives.
Im only 30 and my husband isn’t even 30 yet. We already lost his stepdad when our kids were 8 months old and 2 years old. Now my kids being only 3 and just 6 are learning what cancer is and why Grammy has a port like iron man.

I know life was never promised to be fair.

But that doesn’t mean I have to be okay with how unfair it is.

Some days I just wish we could have been dealt different cards. 🤍

Cancer has changed so much about what my mom’s life looks like right now.

But when I look at her, I don’t see cancer.

I see my mom.

I see the woman who raised me, who made my childhood what it was, and now gets to be the grandma my babies adore.

I see every version of her that existed before the diagnosis.

And maybe that’s one of the hardest parts of watching someone you love fight cancer — everyone else can see what the illness is doing to them, while you’re desperately holding onto the person you know is still underneath it all.

She is not her diagnosis.

She is my mom. 🤍 by @samanthalfield

The older I get, the more I realize that the richest parts of life aren’t things you can buy. 🤍

It’s the dinners that turn into hours and then sleepovers because no one wants to leave.
The conversations, the laughter, the stories we’ll tell over and over.

It’s hearing my kids’ footsteps running down the hallway to wake up Grammy and Grammpy.
It’s my sister and I making time for each other and our kiddos

Life won’t always look perfect, but I’ll never stop being grateful for the people who show up, make the effort, and choose each other.
