“Oh, what a curious dream I’ve had,” Alice said. My heart is so full as I type all of this out. Alice By Heart has been a dream of mine for nearly 5 years. I’ve never been part of a show like this before. With a cast who all care so deeply for the material and for each other. A director with such a clear vision and story that she wants to tell. A choreographer who understands the importance of every move onstage. A technical team who understands how to make something like Wonderland feel real and feel lived in. Losing someone so dear to me right as I was beginning to start this production scared me for so many different reasons but this team did not ever make me go through it alone. Thank you for allowing me to heal and for being there with me every step of the way. Thank you guys, I love you always. To my “Dear, oh dear, white rabbit”- @samevenson13 , thank you for being the best scene partner. Thank you for listening. Thank you for literally letting me cry on you every night. Thank you for every hand hold and every hug on and offstage and for helping me through this show. I truly cannot ever tell you how much you mean to me and how deeply I love and adore you. I feel like I haven’t been posting too many personal things on Instagram lately and it isn’t for no reason. After losing a good friend, I feel like I’ve seen my spark dwindle quite a bit. I feel like I’m not able to be as happy about things anymore because it doesn’t feel right that the world keeps on spinning. I’ve found that now more than ever music is so important to me. I’ve been with Alice by Heart for a couple of months now and in a strange way, I feel as though I have only been able to get through this grieving process because of the music and because of the story it tells. This song specifically has helped me through so much. Knowing that when I close my eyes and go to sleep, I’ll be able to see you again has been helping me through this. Knowing that there is a special room in my head that you will always inhabit and that I will always be able to find has helped me so much. to anybody who has checked up on me in the last two months and I to anybody who was willing to read my thoughts, thank you. I miss you and love you always, friend❤️ by @samara.follette
