It's really difficult to truly put into words how it felt walking out on stage to a 2000 person sold out theater and hearing the entire uproarious applause after my name was introduced by the incomparable @bettermegangailey

Let me tell you those 5 minutes were the fastest 5 minutes of my entire life! (@thebobbieoliver you were so right - and I am still working on slowing down) but also were the most thought out carefully selected chosen series of words!

I was surrounded by people from all parts of my life, My family my mom my dad and my brother My wife My friends from the comedy community in town, my sorority sisters and their husbands had driven up from San Diego Along with A close friend from SDSU who has literally always been my Yes Woman to every crazy Or spontaneous event I've invited her to join me on.

I received phone calls text messages and letters in the mail leading up to this night And I truly have @ChelseaHandler to give my biggest form of gratitude to, I don't think this is small for her In any way But she I believe understood That sometimes audacious and delusional Levels Of risk From other women in comedy Deserve an opportunity to experience What I got to embody On September 18th!

And I also want to give a huge thank you to the women at the @arlingtontheatre Who created a poster for me which I absolutely got signed by both Megan Gailey and Chelsea Handler. They made me feel like I had every right to be there.

And thank you to the Mother and son who I happened upon who helped Take The photos of me prior to going in.

Over this weekend I had a vision of myself 10 maybe even as much as 20 years into the future Of me coming back to the Arlington only it's my name on the official Marquee And I take this picture again But it's me standing in front of the Marquis Holding the framed image Of my DIY Marquee sign. The entire team for Chelsea Handler was so kind to me. CH was Such A decent comedian to talk with and To see go out on stage I hope that anyone reading this Does the delusional thing and asks big And swings For the mountains Because risk is the price of admission!

And SNL allowing that monologue directly after Cornell is the most tone deaf thing...and you know what was such a missed opportunity? Shane could have ended his set with "honestly though, Y'all know I am just kidding, I mean c’mon look at me, I dont go to the gym, unless it's Jimmy John's...and shame on you for laughing, this is how cornell happened" and it would have been such a mic drop moment but...nope
