So, tonight ... I did a thing.

Something I haven't done in decades. Something I was once really good at that used to bring me so much joy.

I was a CFL Cheerleader again.

Tonight, I had the opportunity to dance and cheer at the Hamilton Tiger-Cats game! I have to admit the dance was very hard and my body doesn't quite move the same as it did all those years ago ... but I DID IT.

To those women dancing beside me on the field tonight ... and to my close friends ... thank you. Thank for for lifting me up and cheering me on. I hope I made you proud.

Last night, I was honoured to welcome Mohawk College's newest graduates into the alumni community.

As part of the ceremony, I had the privilege of presenting each graduate with an alumni pin as they crossed the stage.

What made the evening even more special was seeing my own Radio & Creative Content students graduate. I was able to hug each of them, personally congratulate them, and celebrate this incredible milestone together. I even had the chance to meet some of their parents, siblings, and children.

It was a truly magical night ... one filled with pride, gratitude, and a reminder of why I love what I do.

Congratulations, Class of 2026. Your future is bright, and I can't wait to see where your journey takes you next. ✨️ by @samcookofficial

Found these 8x10 photos in my office. I believe they were taken as part of an International Women's Day campaign at Mohawk College - students wrote down the name of a woman who was an inspiration to them.

As I was looking at each photo, I thought, "Wow, this was such a good idea. How sweet".

Then I got to the last photo ... cue the tears. Thank you for holding up my name @rubysz_93. 🥰 by @samcookofficial

I still remember walking through the main entrance at Mohawk College for the first time as a student ... having no idea how much my education here would shape the trajectory of my life.
To have spent decades walking through these halls as a faculty member has brought me so much joy. As I reflect on my time here, I am filled with gratitude. ✨️ by @samcookofficial

The 90s is a decade I will never forget.

It was the time I stopped dreaming and started doing.

From becoming a CFL cheerleader for the Hamilton Tiger Cats ... to landing my dream internship at the Late Show with David Letterman in New York City ... then coming back home to Canada and stepping into one of the most amazing roles of my life as co-host on the hit TV show UhOh! Oh yea, I also appeared many times on Electric Circus too (City TV)!

I made lifelong friends, took big chances, and lived experiences that shaped who I am today.

If I could say one thing to the younger generation, it would be this:

Go for it. Take the shot. Ask the question. Chase the dream.

Because the worst that can happen is someone says no ... but the best thing that can happen is you create memories that will stay with you for the rest of your life. ✨ by @samcookofficial
