Tower was written in my baby blue truck on the winding stretch of highway 1, between where I live and the mountaintop in Big Sur where the song was recorded. Thank you to one of my dearest and longest friends @zzsatriani whose genius is unparalleled and i can say the same for his heart🐟♥️🪽Thank you @longroadsociety and Sun Dog Studios for providing patches of dirt in the sunlight that were perfect for finishing the lyrics. Thank you @pm.murphy.music @john_james_tourville @caseyjanerk Cameron Snyder and @samdoores for building out this song so beautifully. So much of this song felt like how I’d imagine the terror and thrill in the moment birds experience when they first learn how to fly. I couldn’t have done that without coproducer @samdoores staying up till the birdsongs to inspire new heights.Thank you @kit_center_music and @anders.ormen for doing the magic science work of engineering, @davidaglasebrook for mixing it down and @goldenmastering for mastering this lowfi societal shut down sound. We’re over the moon to be distributing the upcoming new LP from our friend, Scott Ballew, a talented Austin-based singer-songwriter. Scott’s new album is entitled Paradiso and was recently recorded in New Orleans with Scott producing alongside Rob Barbato (Cass McCombs, Kevin Morby).
