Local SFV Organization Highlight:

Same Difference Co. 🌤️ @samedifferenceco
Founded in 2022 by Ayleen Enriquez and Andreya Ventura, this non-profit organization works as frontline support of the mental health and substance abuse crisis across the Valley and beyond. With NARCAN and fentanyl test strip distributions, overdose response trainings, and donation drives, their mission is rooted in harm reduction, education, and community care.

Driven by personal experiences and a growing overdose crisis, the team meets people where they are: schools, street corners, music venues, and LA’s most impacted neighborhoods.

At Home in the Valley, their second annual community gathering on December 20 at Cottonwood Urban Farm in Panorama City, will feature a donation drive, live jazz, and free coffee.

Same Difference Co. is where the sun shines through the clouds and support never comes with conditions.

Link-up of the century with @cleanslateswapmeet for this month’s Slow Motion at @openmarket.la

10% of everything sold at the Neighborhood Garage Sale will be donated directly to @eayikes. EAYIKES is a non-profit 501(C)3 that provides meals to the unhoused as well as organizes youth and community programs.

No strangers to Slow Motion, @samedifferenceco 501(C)3 will be back providing info on their org which provides mental health and substance abuse resources. They will also be gathering donations for hygiene kits between 11-4pm so please bring some stuff with you if you can! (think general toiletries, chapstick, sunscreen, cooling towels, zip-lock bags, etc.)

And of course, please support Open Market and grab a sammie or a drink. They have some of the best of both worlds in the whole damn city. So come hungry and grab your morning coffee and afternoon matcha.

See y’all this Sunday! by @samedifferenceco

Educate and Empower. With ICE raids spiking across the nation with an emphasis in Los Angeles, make sure to know your rights, how to respond, and how to keep your community safe.

We were able to start this morning with a vendor buyout thanks to everyone who has supported Highly Flavored

This past weekend, we had the opportunity to give back to the community with @samedifferenceco, providing hygiene products, clothing, and other essentials to those in need. ❤️

Such a beautiful event centered around community, love, and giving back.

Make sure to tap in with @samedifferenceco to see how you can get involved and support the community. 🙌🏽

Kicking off September, National Suicide Prevention Month, Same Difference Co. wants to know: How do YOU ground yourself? 💛

To us, grounding is an action that reconnects you to the present moment and gives you a chance to reset when you’re feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or experiencing difficult emotions.

Throughout the year, we’ll be highlighting the amazing spaces, places, and practices that help folks feel reconnected.
