My Mr Calm Guy.

You know how people say, “My husband is so calm” Oh yes, he is! But what they don’t know is that I have his mumu buttons. And honestly, I consider that one of my special marital privileges.

From being a camera-shy man to adapting so beautifully to the camera(somebody shout LOVE)

You complete my life in more ways than words can adequately express, and for this and so much more, I say Alhamdulillah.

If these five years have taught me anything, it is that marriage is not about perfection. It is about grace, patience, friendship, commitment, and having someone beside you through all the beautifully imperfect chapters of life.

Alhamdulillah for the journey so far.
Alhamdulillah for the lessons.
Alhamdulillah for the laughter.
Alhamdulillah for the friendship.
Alhamdulillah for the love.
Alhamdulillah for all the beautiful years yet to come.

Wherever the word support or supportive is mentioned, I’d gladly show you off. Ah! Okunrinmeta toh duro seyin Samiat! Na you biko.

In fact, I sometimes cannot believe you would choose me even before choosing yourself. That’s how much of a selfless lover you are. You have stood by me in my strongest moments, but even more importantly, you have held me close in my weakest. You have seen me at my best and at my most vulnerable, and your love for me has never dwindled; neither have I had any cause to doubt it.

You are my home, and without you in our home, it’s just another building. You are the essence of it and the one who lights it up with utmost affection. You pamper me so much and care for me like the baby that I am. Everything you promised on our wedding day, you have not only fulfilled, but you continue to fulfil in ways that remind me that I made the right choice.

I honestly cannot imagine life without you. You juggle so many hats, yet you don’t miss any. My husband, my best friend, my confidant, and my favourite person, with you, I can simply be ME, without fear of judgement or the need to pretend to be anyone else. You give me the freedom to laugh loudly, be silly, be vulnerable, be dramatic occasionally 😅, and you love me through it all.

Husband of mine, just like your name, Oluwaseun, we will continually say Alhamdulillah for every blessing Almighty Allah has graciously unfolded within our home. That’s how you lead us - with a heart of gratitude.

For the answered prayers, the unexpected blessings, the lessons, and even the seasons that shaped us into better versions of ourselves, we remain deeply grateful.

So, today, I thank Almighty Allah for blessing me with the gift of you. You are a gift that keeps giving. You have blessed me in ways words cannot express, and I will always be deeply grateful to Allah that we are doing this marriage thing together.

26th September 2021 feels just like yesterday. In the presence of our families and loved ones, we joyfully established our union.

Here we are, 26th September 2026, five (5) beautiful years later; I still struggle to put my thoughts into words because, honestly, if I were to pen down my experience of marriage with you, it would be a never-ending series. I would need several volumes because these five years have given us enough stories, lessons, laughter, tears, growth, and memories to fill an entire library.

Our marriage has been a unique tapestry. The most beautiful mixture of sweet moments, vulnerable seasons, difficult days, unexpected turns, and countless lessons. In the last half-decade, we have had the highest of highs, the funniest inside jokes, lows we never thought we would experience, and moments that tested our patience. Through all of these, one thing has remained constant which is us loving and choosing each other.

For that, I will always be grateful.You give me a beautiful life where I have not lost my essence.Thank you!
