I will continue doing what I feel aligned with, continue making the things that set my soul alight, and continue ignoring the fact IG is making artists be full time content creators if they want visibility on here. It’s a tough one to ignore especially when you have the inner urge to people please, but being authentic is more important to me.

I heard or read this quote somewhere about a month ago and I immediately wrote it down and have it next to my desk to read and remind myself of every day. I can’t remember the source (sorry - I will update this if I do).

It is honestly a fantastic reminder to keep myself aligned with my values and goals and not getting caught up in trying to please the algorithm gods and forgetting who I am.

Also, getting an app blocker has been a game changer for me which is also why you only see me posting on here certain hours of the day when it works for me.

Just finalising my artworks that are going into the @brew_hull exhibition (open night is this Saturday at 7pm - please come!) and I thought I’d do a lil reminder that I’m actually exhibiting at Trinity Market as well as the Ferens Open Exhibition, so you can do a tour of Samantha Gregmar originals on Saturday if you like and finish off at Brew! 😆

Hope to see you there? PS if you’re going to the Ferens preview tonight, or tomorrow when it is open to the public, please come over and say hi as I will be there! 🧡

My juicy fruits exploring light & shadow can now be seen in @trinitymarkethull until the 30th of October alongside my fellow talented artists @elizabethnast @embe.art @lukethomasart @artby_emilynunns @ellhonz @hullborn_and_bred @feralartschool

These three artworks are all acrylic on paper, and it’s a prime opportunity to see them in person! They’re all available as high quality fine art prints on my website if you like the look of them.

This week I’m also exhibiting at the @ferensartgallery exhibition which opens to the public on Friday, as well as at @brew_hull from Saturday onwards.

Whilst my studio is upended thanks to being a temporary storage facility of kitchen items, I’m struggling to pick up my paints. I’m also desperate for some blinds in my room as I can’t see my reference photos nor do colour mixing properly because it’s so bright SO instead I bought a funky new multicoloured pencil just to do something, and it is something very different to my usual stuff.

It definitely scratched a good part of my brain!

Excited to announce that the community art group I have facilitated since 2022 is having its third annual exhibition! Expect to see drawings & paintings aplenty, including a few paintings by myself, located at @brew_hull 🎨

Opening night is Saturday the 17th of October from 7pm onwards. Hope to see you there!

We are ran by non profit organisation Local Works, funded by the @tnlcommunityfund

Grid post just to say I had an enforced studio break (again) thanks to my health finally saying noooooope after a very busy summer. It’s definitely made me reflect, yet again, on the boundaries I need to place for myself, and my priorities. So I gently returned to the studio this morning (which is a tip thanks to our current kitchen refurb and my studio becoming temporary storage) and tried my best to embrace a messy quick 45 min paint study, whilst being kept company by 2 studio cats.
(I am writing this post whilst sitting on the floor because Ginny is still laid on my chair. I couldn’t possibly move her, that would be so rude???)

Dropping off my entry for the @ferensartgallery open exhibition today! This is the first time I’ve had original painting available to purchase for a good few years… however if buying an original isn’t in your price range, I have good news that a high quality fine art print is available to purchase for a limited time 🥰

Are you attending the Ferens open eve? It’s on the 16th of October - hope to see you there! Excited to see everyone else’s entries too.

Open studios today at @feralartschool where I have my supported shared studio with 7 other local artists. Great day meeting some new faces and talking about art, and being able to show what my fine art prints look like that I’ve recently started selling over on my Etsy!

I showed some of my recent body of work from the last few months, all acrylic painterly paintings on paper and board.

My head is totally fried now but it was an inspiring day and fun to do my first open studio event!

If you’d like to have a flick through my sketchbook and see some of my artwork in real life/the quality of my prints, pop on over to @feralartschool ‘s open day for their new home down High Street in Hull this Sunday between 12-5. I’m located in the supported studios with 7 other local artists, and you can check out the @independentferalartists studios too, as well as Feral’s new print studio and teaching space. Super cool ! I will also be there to say hi to 🤠 👋🏼

In other news - Finished this quick lemon study in my sketchbook today!
