sooo i thought i’d pop on since auditions are in A WEEK and actually lock tf in.. i haven’t practiced 😭

it’s difficult to find the motivation to practice because I still have this mental block, and one day, I will speak about it and everything will be OK, but i’m not ready. I just wanna take things one day at a time and do it 100% on my own terms which is why i’m posting tonight!

Hello guys, and happy world autism day! Today, I thought I’d share with you a sort of “one year later” post from last autism day, since I feel like I’ve learned so many lessons, changed so much as a person, and hope more than anything to show you guys that there is always light at the end of every tunnel. I’m sure that many of you guys who’ve witnessed my journey firsthand know that despite how active I was last year in the guard community, I was really struggling with my mental health. Every day was survival mode, and it was so hard to stick to my core belief of spreading positivity because so much was going on in my life at the time, it was bad. My personal battles got to the point in which I had to end up stepping back and taking the hiatus from guard, because I needed to do so to heal.

I don’t mean to tell you guys this out of pity, but instead to speak my truth about how I’ve genuinely, authentically, and indubitably struggled as an autistic guard girl- it isn’t as simple as the information I posted last year. Personally, autism has affected me in ways that I am both ashamed of and very, very grateful for, and I feel that it is my purpose to share my testimony with you guys. To live out loud, and show you guys that it’s 100% okay to put yourself first in the midst of all the crazy, because at the end of the day, you are all you have.

I am so thankful my smile is finally back- and this time, I mean it.

I’ll be back spinning again soon, and I love you guys 💕

(P.S- I’m auditioning for UCF’S Marching Knights color guard team on May 16th so expect practice content this month!!) 💛🖤

better late than never, but life update.. i will be continuing my academics at University of Central Florida starting in the fall! I’m majoring in english creative writing/journalism and i’m so excited to enter this new chapter/GET BACK TO SPINNING!! I’ve had a busy senior year too so this comes with a little dump of my days lately as well 💕 haven’t been able to practice much bcs i’m finally getting pt for my bad knee, keeping my grades up and i’m learning how to drive! I miss you guys and will try to squeeze in a quick spins video soon 🏳️

dearest 2025,

wow, you were a rough one- you really, really were. but as difficult as you were, you taught me so many important lessons that unfortunately, i would’ve never learned if i didn’t make the choices i did this year.

thank you for allowing me to stay true to myself, prioritize my mental/physical health, focus on what brings me joy, and stay passionate for guard despite all the change.

thank you for showing me that sacrificing it all, taking that gap year, and pressing “pause” is sometimes the option you must take to keep your spark shining bright. as hard as it may be to do, it can open your eyes to so much.

and 2026, i hope you teach anyone who needs it that it’s okay to do this too ❤️ prioritize what you must, put yourself first, hold those you love close, wish everyone well, and protect your peace.

ps- expect loads more spin content in the new year. I’m making a comeback and it’ll be the best year yet for us!

QUICK SPINS!! I know I look very happy in this video, but today was honestly one of the worst days of my life. I cried a lot, and was really in my feels because it hurts to grieve what could’ve been my last first competition. I wish more than anything that I could’ve been there with you guys today, laughing and celebrating and making memories. Most importantly, I would’ve loved to perform my heart out for y’all- hearing my name get screamed from the bleachers makes me smile more than anything. I am so proud of myself for getting out and just spinning today. I know my skills aren’t as good as they usually are, but what matters is that I went out and did it. QUICK SPINS.. LEARNING A NEW TRICK!!

I’ve been really wanting to go outside and practice, but it’s just been so rainy and I’ve been at school all day (there is a legitimate tropical storm outside my room as we speak.) and I’ve been meaning to get the chance to learn this new toss, a Neckroll One-handed 45. I know it’s flat. I didn’t have the time and by the time I go to practice next time it will not be flat. hoping it stops raining 🌧️ soon.. ENJOYYY!
