Baguette Tradition

A tradition baguette is the more authentic and artisanal version.

Rules and characteristics:
• Only 4 ingredients: flour, water, salt, and yeast or natural starter (levain)
• No additives, preservatives, or chemicals allowed
• Dough must be mixed, fermented, and baked in the bakery where it’s sold
• Usually longer fermentation, which creates deeper flavor
• Crust: thicker, darker, and very crispy
• Inside (crumb): irregular air holes, slightly chewy texture
• Taste: richer and more complex
