My favorite festival was this past weekend. I go every year and hope that continues. This year I was reminded to hold space not only for others, but for myself. I was encouraged to exhale deeper and allow myself periods of true rest. And I learned to listen to the love letters of change.

What a beautiful day it was, especially amidst the gorgeous @rhodescollege campus! I am always so, so grateful @memphisyogafestival 🤲🏿✨💜.

Since I was a child looking through all of my mom’s wax print garments, I’ve always been enamored and inspired by the fabrics of my Nigerian culture ~ it’s one of the things that drew me into fashion design. Eventually, I desired to make my own prints and patterns.

And I’m SO excited to announce that next week I will debut new pattern designs at my installation for the 2026 Summer Art Garden at the Brooks Museum of Art! My exhibit “𝑾𝒂𝒙 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒕 𝑾𝒐𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒅” celebrates community, wisdom, and the power of gathering ~ and I can’t wait for you all to experience my surreal landscape.

Join me at the opening party & unveiling of Wax Print Wonderland ~ 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝟲𝗽𝗺-𝟴𝗽𝗺 ~ and enjoy the opening night festivities with Women Who Spin (DJ Brillionaire @thelolanychole, @djzetta901 , DJ @rosami.i ), collage art with ifurubaby, and interactive networking with @bitchbopz in honor of Women’s History Month.

Opening night for Memphis College of Art’s LEGACY exhibition now on view at the @brooksmuseum. It was almost surreal to be amidst former classmates, professors & staff, and completely impossible not to feel moved. The vastness of this show is breathtakingly emotional.
