Surprise premiere today, dancing “Infra” by Wayne McGregor!! Together with my lovely @darrion.sellman (Team Winnetka!)

Wow. I gotta say that this journey has truly been a dream come true for me❤️💭(without sounding too cliché). Since I was 16, Infra has been one of those pieces that helped shape my vision of what I want to do and achieve in my career. On a personal level. The first time I got a taste of it was at the Dutch National Summer School, where I actually learned the role of Leanne. And now, years later, I’m dancing that same role on this main stage—in my home city. It’s such a full-circle moment, and it feels both surreal and amazing at once.

This piece, and the entire process, has helped me reconnect with my why in dance, and reminded me why I keep pushing through the pain of it, day in and day out. I’m so grateful for the chance to explore more Neoclassical work and truly hope to dance more of it soon. And working, even briefly, with Wayne himself was beyond inspiring—his words will stay with me far beyond this piece.”

Thank you ❤️🙏🏼 by @samiradancer
