Matcha Latte : Their Matcha cup had a small cup but it's enough for me! The Matcha had minimal bitterness but light if you're not the kind that doesn't want too Strong Matcha taste. B

Kinako Matcha Latte : I seriously love this drink! Very nice Kinako that I don't know to describe it properly! Maybe nutty taste?! I really enjoy it and will come back again.

Heads up : remember to book in advanced, if you want go earlier slot, book and order early yeah! by @samluvmatcha

I've seen a lot of people visit this HBB so I decided to make time for it too.

Jumping straight for the review

What I've order?

Chicken Katsu Don:

A bowl of fluffy rice, crispy yet moist chicken katsu with egg that I've enjoyed. You can actually feel that this bowl is prepared with heartwarming owners in which, they've had more different kind of Don's so check their menu.

Strawberry Matcha Latte:

A cup of Matcha to pair with Don. Low-nil bitterness and nice amount of umami. Stirring it together with their freshly prepared strawberry at the bottom, it gives a nice fruity yet sweetness to the whole matcha :)

So if you're around sengkang/Rivervale area or you're craving for Japanese Don, do visit them but pre order 2hours in advance so that they've got time to prepare too!

Me and @supersiying went to kobearMatcha's 1st anniversary and decided that we should hop 1 HBB before we end the morning.

Drinks ordered :

Matcha Latte -
Bitterness : 0.5/5
Sweetness : 3.5/5
Umami : 4/5

Honestly, I would come back again for others like their ice Pistachio Matcha and Pistachio Latte. Meanwhile, Siying gotten the Pistachio Matcha and I got to try it. It's dam good so I'll come back again for the Matcha or Latte version..

Visitation 39 to @peekabrewsg!

Saw this trend of people visiting this shop so wanted to hop on during weekend but, I had team building nearby on Friday 21/8 so decided to go by after that. So here's my review on them.

Worth going for a scare.

Order their Ceremonial Matcha Latte :

Bitterness : 2.5/5
Sweetness : 0.5/5
Umami : 2/5

I think the Matcha itself it's okay but if you're not a bitterness kind of person, you might want to put the sugar level to normal. If not, I'll come back again for their coffee and food :). by @samluvmatcha

Food Visitation #1 to @honourbakery from last Saturday 15/8.

Was nearby to this HBB and decided to pay them a visit. I'm only posting this late cause I manage to try our their sourdough bread on weekdays.

Pesto Butter Shio Pan (left) :

Oh gosh, please I want more cause I ate it while walking to MRT station. It is so good that I indulged it all within a few mins so this is one of my top item if I come again.

Country Loaf Sourdough :

Yummmmm! I paired this with Nutella and salted butter like how the owner told me over DM. Boy oh boy, its good that you'll want to have more but can be quite filling so moderate yeah!

Overall, pleasant experience and will come back again. by @samluvmatcha

Non HBB visitation post.

So sometime back at end of June to Start July, @qingwu.sg reached out to me via one of my post and asked me to visit their Matcha website to see if I'm keen to give their Matcha powder a try.

At first, I was a little skeptical cause it's like Chinese name 🤔. However, I did some research on them and I feel that I should be less doubtful and give it a try cause they actually explained their product in details.

So here's my non biased review.

Price point : I would say it's actually affordable
Package size : I bought 50g and it aligns with the price point cause it's quite full.

Mist Cloud : has some light and good sweetness to it, umami 3.5/5, bitterness low. Blends well to make a good cup of Matcha Latte.

Jade Dew :

Sweetness 4/5
Umami 3.5/5
Bitterness : 0.5/5

One of my favourite in their Matcha power series.

Hojicha :

Not really a fan of Hojicha yet cause I haven't try enough but, I would say it's not those super roasted flavour until you dislike it yet I would use it when it's non Matcha days.

Umami : 3/5
Caramel : 2/5, not very obvious but can taste abit.
Nuttiness : 2.5/5

Will I buy their powder again after I finish? Yes, I would but I will want to try other brands of Matcha powders too. by @samluvmatcha

#38 Matcha visit to @corner8matcha,

A surprised visit to them even though they DM me before. So my impression when I stepped into their house feels so home with their warm greeting and saw them in action. One word to describe them while they work is "TEAMWORK". Their coordination is 💯.

Matcha Latte :

The Matcha itself has min to low bitterness yet bring umami to it. After giving it a good stir, its a wow to me cause It still has this balance Matcha and milk flavoured to it which too me, it takes Alot of trial and error to find such balance. Sadly, I'm going somewhere else to try other Matcha. If not, I'll have tried others :). Will come back again for other flavour.

#37 Matcha from @amatcha.day! New Matcha HBB at sgoon north congrats!!

It was quite difficult to catch them cause of my working day on weekdays but they finally open on Weekend so decided to pay them a visit!

Drink - Cereal Milk Matcha Latte :

This drink! Helps the Matcha with the frosty Loop it's 😍😍. I can order 2 more cup for this also no issue. Matcha itself has bare minimum bitterness with umami taste together with the frosty loop you'll love it!

For the longest time living around this area, I've always wanted to visit this HBB but couldn't find the right time but, I finally got it and made a surprising visit!

Was browsing their menu and wanted to get my plain old Matcha Latte but decided to get this instead. So let's break it down

Blueberry Matcha Latte:

Matcha : low bitterness, umami-Ness 4/5🤩, smooth, not sweet and blended well once you mixed it in.

Blueberry : the blueberry reminds me so greatly of the waffle that you bought outside! 100% the taste that makes me want to grab the whole tub of it. Best part? The blueberry is fresh cuz it's quite warm while I hold on to the cup at the bottom.

Overall : I will seriously order again and walk out just for it! Next one strawberry!

#35 Matcha visit invitation from @shizukulab.matcha

Got an invitation for their soft launch from owner. Had a chat with owner and she's inspired by her bf, who is a Matcha lover and decided to hop on to this home on this Matcha trend business.

Drinks:

#1 Singapore Series :

First sip of cuz is Matcha first. A light, umami and slight bitterness. If you ask me what's inside the drinks...i shall not describe more especially if you're Singaporean then you'll have guess what's inside 😏(hint: You can get in all coffee shop and you're not coffee lover) . Anyway, gave a good stir and I would say the combination is good but need some adjustment and good to go :).

#2 Matcha Latte with Yakult:

Honestly, I didn't expect yakult to work with Matcha but arguable that not everyone will like it especially if your ratio and Matcha powder doesn't goes well but, I would say this one definitely works!

Overall, its a good matcha creation by owner.

The Duck Strikes back!!

Quite thankful to be invited from a new HBB despite being just a small fry that just love to drink Matcha and try out other HBB.

1. Signature Matcha Latte:
A cup of Light Matcha, low bitterness and balance sweetness in this cup of Matcha even after I stir it together. The ratio of Matcha & milk still acceptable not overpowering each other.

2. Creamy Matcha Latte:
2nd Matcha was this creamy Matcha Latte that has a beautiful visual which is on the right. Taste wise, I love the creamy taste which uplift the whole Matcha taste better 😍😍.

Overall, it was a good Matcha experience and I would go back one more round to try their dalgona Matcha Latte once it's ready which, the owner mentioned that it should be around mid July due to the powder being use. by @samluvmatcha

I actually wanted to visit them for quite some time but couldn't catch a correct timing. That Sunday rain was a great time since I'm there for lunch too.

Drinks

Matcha Latte and Strawberry Matcha Latte.

I can hands down say Bartley residents who stays there, you got a good HBB who made such a good Matcha. I can barely taste any bitterness from their Matcha, good slight nutty and umami from here.

Honestly, I will come down again to try others just need to find a good time.
