POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The ocean isn’t ours.
It never was.

These waters are homes, not resources.
Lives, not scenery.
Worlds that existed long before us and will exist long after us, if we let them.

Whales move through these depths the keepers of memory….
Carrying songs older than borders, older than names.
Holding the history of a planet we barely remember how to listen to.

Somewhere along the way, humans decided everything belonged to us.
That we could take, destroy, silence, and call it progress.
But we are not above this world…we are just apart of it.
Just another living being among many.

They don’t invade our world.
We invade theirs.

I wish we remembered how small we are in something so vast.
How much beauty exists beyond what we can control.
How kindness to animals, to each other, to the Earth, is not weakness, but wisdom.

This winter, we started a GoFundMe to help Filadelfo with his home while he was preparing to undergo knee surgery.

For those of you who have been following his story, the government was no longer going to cover his knee surgery, so we planned to use the money raised to help make that surgery possible.

Sadly, things took an unexpected turn when Filadelfo needed emergency prostate surgery. The money that so many of you generously donated ended up going toward something even more urgent , saving his life.

He is now on a waiting list and we are hopeful that he will eventually be able to receive his knee surgery through the government.

Unfortunately, we did not raise enough to cover both his emergency surgery and the repairs to his home, but we came very close to covering the cost of the surgery itself.

Filadelfo wants to thank every single person who donated, shared his story, sent messages, and showed him love and support. Your generosity truly made a difference during one of the hardest moments of his life, and we are incredibly grateful. ❤️

Thank you kate for everything you have done for this man. You’re truly a beautiful human.

Kate’s info will be posted in the comments if anyone wants to reach out to her to further help this man. by @sammdenena

30 years young damn, happy birthday bbg you have been the happiest moments in my life, i wish i met you sooner. I fell in love with my best friend and to picture life without you now would destroy me. You are truly one of a kind, clearly you’re beautiful but your soul over takes everything, your view on life, the way you make me better everyday, and we push each other to greater things in life. The fact we share the love to beautiful place together (puerto ), we are building a family together with our furry baby. You are my biggest fan and I am yours. The love I have for you is irreplaceable. Happy 30th birthday my love. Our 6th year and damn has it been the best years of my life. Thank you for being you. I love you zo by @sammdenena

Been without rang for 3 years, was hard guy to replace, Winston decided it was time I moved on and Ranger would have loved him. Nothing like loving a man’s best friend.

We get asked all the time where to eat in Muskoka… Turtle Jack’s in Port Carling is always an easy recommendation. ☀️🌊

The view overlooking the water is beautiful, the atmosphere is always fun and relaxed, and the service was exceptional from start to finish. We tried almost everything on the menu (strictly for research, of course 😅), and there honestly wasn’t a bad choice. But if you only order one thing from this post… make it the Raspberry Mojito. It was hands down our favourite. 🍹

If you’re looking for a place to enjoy great food, great drinks, and one of the best waterfront patios in Muskoka, we’d definitely recommend adding Turtle Jack’s to your list.

Already looking forward to our next visit. ❤️ taken in Turtle Jack's by @sammdenena
